A place where my passion for painting reaches its maximum expression, I am referring to the Benito Ortiz Universal Art Gallery in Trinidad. A few years ago, I was the representative of an artistic project, specifically painting, and since then my connection with this place is simply unmatched.

When you enter the gallery, the first thing you can appreciate are two sculptures of women in carrara marble with a very impressive level of detail. Being for me the most difficult art to achieve; so it carries a high degree of complexity.

The diversity and the admirable collection of paintings of mainly regional artists make this place to be visited by those who admire art. This place relaxes me in such a way that makes me disconnect from reality.
But that's not all, you are also surrounded by clay and terracotta handicrafts. The most predominant are the vases, very elegant and colorful.

I am one of those who enjoy simply admiring art, and in the Benito Ortiz Art Gallery I find my perfect dose. This place also has something different; a transitory room, a space that is constantly changing with temporary exhibitions. On my last visit, I was able to delve into the world of marine fauna through an exhibition where simple materials, such as cardboard or tape, are used to give life to a work of art.
I cannot fail to mention the balcony on the second floor. From there, you get the most spectacular view of Trinidad's main square. It is the perfect place to take the best pictures and for those who want to share some romantic passion.
Besides being a paradise for art lovers, the entrance to the place is totally free, which makes it even easier to enjoy this gallery in an irrational way. I assure you it will be an experience you will remember forever. Art, culture and incredible views await you in one place.
