My Echinocereus reichenbachii fitchii
Today I will show you a photo of my Echinocereus reichenbachii fitchii in bloom.
True, he managed to bloom with a single and "crooked" flower, or maybe this is how he expresses his indignation at caring for him? 🤭
A little about this handsome man, which is very common in Mexico and the USA.
Like all cacti, Echinocereus reichenbachii fitchii is sensitive to overwatering, but it needs more moisture than other cacti to bloom profusely.
Likes direct sunlight and temperatures around + 30 ° C.
Coarse river sand and fine gravel must be added to the soil.
Another advantage of Echinocereus Reichenbach is that it is frost-resistant and can tolerate short-term frosts from -10°C to -25°C!!!.
But in Cyprus there are no such temperatures in winter, so this bonus is not for our weather.
Echinocereus begins to bloom in the third year of life.
Its flowering is very spectacular, and a big bonus - its flowers are fragrant and bloom longer than other cacti !!!
Its flower blooms for a week.
And now a photo of my handsome:
The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet
Wow! That’s a beauty. So pink!
Thank you so much!
The cactus itself, even without the flower is really nice!
Thanks a lot!
