Caripe es un pueblo muy turístico de Venezuela, está ubicado en el estado monagas y es conocido como el Jardin de oriente. Yo conozco caripe basicmente desde siempre y en varias oportunidades les he compartido mia experiencias en distintos puntos turísticos de esta localidad. Y si bien, yo no conozco todos los lugares de este municipio, si conozco la mayoría y se los he compartido a lo largo que he venido últimamente. Que exactamente tenía muchísimo tiempo que no venía, creo que tenía más de un año sin viajar para acá, pero tuve que venir recientemente, tengo un poquito más de una semana aquí, y pues he estado tomando una de otras fotos para compartirles, a modo de blogs, y amo demostrarle, sitios que no lo había hecho antes.

Caripe is a popular tourist town in Venezuela. It's located in the state of Monagas and is known as the Garden of the East. I've basically always known Caripe and have shared my experiences at various tourist spots in this area on several occasions. While I don't know every spot in this municipality, I do know most of them, and I've shared them with you throughout my recent visit. It's been a long time since I've been here. I think it's been over a year since I last traveled here, but I had to come back recently. I've been here for a little over a week, and I've been taking photos to share with you, blog-style, and I love showing you places I haven't been before.

Una de los lugares más emblemáticos de Caripe, es la iglesia de San Agustín, todo el mundo que viene a Caripe siempre se toma fotos en esta iglesia, porque tiene una particularidad de que está totalmente cubierta por matas, a modo de decoración obviamente. Creo que es exactamente esto no es una iglesia, es una capilla, creo que funciona más o menos de forma similar. Yo no soy una persona para nada religiosa, mi familia es católica, pero yo realmente me la mantengo bastante alejada de este mundo, porque no es un tema que me adoraba, ni me siento totalmente cómoda en esos ambientes. Pero lo que sí les puedo contar, es lo turístico que es este sitio, ya que por mucho que las personas no formen parte de esa religión, siempre veo que se tomaron fotos acá y al igual que en el monumento del guacharo, también se compartió muchísimas fotos en redes sociales.

One of the most iconic places in Caripe is the San Agustín Church. Everyone who comes to Caripe always takes photos in front of this church because it's unique in that it's completely covered in bushes, obviously for decoration. I think this isn't exactly a church, it's a chapel; I think it functions more or less similarly. I'm not at all religious; my family is Catholic, but I really stay away from that world because it's not something I worshipped, nor do I feel completely comfortable in those environments. But what I can tell you is how touristy this place is. Even if people don't belong to that religion, I always see photos taken here, and just like with the guacharo monument, many photos have also been shared on social media.

El día que estaba pasando por acá, casualmente era el día de San Agustín, como todos los santos, también tiene su día y iban a hacer una procesión justamente en la tarde. Que eso básicamente consiste en sacar al santo de la iglesia para hacerlo por todo el pueblo, y luego regresarlo. Cuando yo pasé eran después del mediodía, y el santo estaba afuera, la persona que estaba cuidando, estaba hablando un poco de esto, nos mencionó que adentro estaba como que el original, que es el que no se saca. Y también nos dijo que entregamos a tomar fotos y esas cosas. Como les menciono, yo no soy una persona religiosa, pero quería documentar un poco para poder compartirlo con ustedes. The day I was passing by, it happened to be St. Augustine's Day. Like all saints, he also has his day, and they were going to hold a procession in the afternoon. This basically consists of taking the saint out of the church to carry it around the town, and then bringing it back. When I passed by, it was after noon, and the saint was outside. The person who was looking after him was talking a bit about it. He mentioned that inside was something like the original, which is the one that isn't taken out. He also told us that we were allowed to take photos and all that. As I mentioned, I'm not a religious person, but I wanted to do some research to share it with you.
