El año pasado 2024 fue un excelente año de lectura para mí, creo que fue uno de los mejores que tuve, especialmente la primera mitad del año. Pero luego de la segunda mitad del año todo se me complicó un poco porque pasaron muchos cambios en mi vida y le bajé bastante la intensidad a la lectura, pero sin abandonarla del todo, simplemente estuve leyendo muy poco. Precisamente por eso que hay muchas sagas de libros que dejé inconclusas, que me faltan por terminar, específicamente esas donde hay libros que aún no he leído. No me refiero a aquellas hagas que aún no están terminadas, que aún falta libros por publicar, como lo sería un acotar por poner un ejemplo, les pudiera incluso decir próximamente cuáles son esas hadas que espero que salgan libros para su continuación, pero esencialmente quiero hablarles hoy de esas sábanas que aún necesito seguir leyendo.

Comenzando por la saga de De sangre y cenizas, me quedé pendiente por leer el último libro que se publicó, el cual está titulado nacida de la sangre y cenizas, que sería el último libro del spin-off, es decir, el último libro de Sera y Nyktos. Y estaría próxima a publicarse otro que culminaría todas la saga de De sangre y cenizas en general y es por eso que debo leer primero el que ya les mencioné, el cual comencé, pero como solo tenía la traducción mecánica, se me estaba haciendo un poco complicado seguirle el paso. Por otro lado, tengo la saga de Dioses y Monstruos, el cual tengo pediente por leer el libro 2: trono de monstruos, pero cuando me di cuenta de que estaba dividido en parte uno y parte dos, decidí que era mejor esperar la parte dos para poder leerla por completo.

Por otro lado, hay libros como Powerless, que comencé a leer su continuación, llamada Reckless, pero la verdad es que no me encantó la historia y decidí pausarla. Lo mismo me pasó con alas de sangre, que leyendo a las de hierro, la verdad es que me aburrió un poco y decidí pararla cuando llevaba unas 150 páginas. Es por eso que debo terminar ese libro y para comenzar a leer a las de ónix. También actualmente estoy leyendo la Shatter Me, que he leído bastante fluido y continuo en los libros sin parar, pero todavía no lo he terminado, apenas voy por la mitad de la saga y la verdad es que son como 11 libros en total.

Yo no me considero una persona que abandona historias, la verdad no me gusta hacer eso. Generalmente, tengo un buen ojo para poder decidirme a leer un libro y es muy raro que me pase, que la historia no me gusta o que me aburra. Ha sucedido como ya les mencioné arriba, pero yo me he dado cuenta de que hay libros que no son para leerlos en cualquier momento, es decir, que aunque en el momento la historia me parezca aburrida, puede que no lo sea y cuando la retomo meses después me gusta bastante y poder darle un mejor veredicto y también un buen cierre a la historia en mi mente. Espero que estos meses, pueda encontrar una forma de llevarme mejor con la lectura, organizarme entre el montón de cosas que tengo que hacer y poder leer todos los libros que ya les mencioné. I don't consider myself a person who abandons stories, I really don't like to do that. Generally, I have a good eye to be able to decide to read a book and it is very rare that it happens to me, that I don't like the story or that I get bored. It has happened as I mentioned above, but I have realized that there are books that are not to be read at any time, that is to say, that although at the time the story seems boring to me, it may not be and when I pick it up months later I like it a lot and I can give it a better verdict and also a good closure to the story in my mind.
