Pintar en acuarela definitivamente se ha convertido en una actividad que debo realizar cada semana, especialmente para una materia que se llama técnica de representación gráfica. Esta materia tengo que experimentar con distintas técnicas, de pintura y de otro tipo de cosas, como la acuarela, el acrílico y otras cosas más. Este profesor realmente tiende a inventar mucho y es por eso que nos dio como actividad hacer la pintura de un paisaje, pero deberíamos hacerlo al aire libre o, por lo menos, iniciarlo. Ya que la idea era ver la condición lumínica que había en el ambiente para poder transmitirlo en una obra.

Watercolor painting has definitely become something I have to do every week, especially for a class called graphic representation techniques. In this class, I have to experiment with different techniques, painting and other things, such as watercolor, acrylic, and more. This teacher really tends to be very creative, which is why he gave us the assignment of painting a landscape, but we had to do it outdoors, or at least start it there. The idea was to observe the lighting conditions in the environment so we could convey them in our work.

La verdad yo me esperé un día antes para poder empezar esta pintura, ya que había olvidado por completo que debías entregar eso y justamente esta semana, justo al salir de clases estaba hablando con mi amiga que tampoco había hecho la pintura y pues nos pusimos de acuerdo para poder hacerla el mismo día. De hecho, ella ese día se vino a mi casa conmigo, almorzamos juntas y yo estoy faltando al gimnasio, ya que le voy a entregar esto. Decidimos escoger como locación la plaza Bolívar y pichincha como no, ya que es una plaza, o bueno, mejor dicho, son dos plazas unidas, que tienen bastantes árboles y sitios muy bonitos como para pintar y también para tomar fotos. Nos sentamos en uno de los bancos que también son bastante grandes y muy cómodos, por lo menos para pintar. Yo llevaba todos mis materiales, es decir, el block de acuarelas, mis lápices acuarelables, mis acuarelas sólidas y mis acuarelas cremosas. Además de otro tipo de herramientas como agua, lápices y demás.

In fact, she came to my house with me that day, we had lunch together, and I'm skipping the gym because I'm going to hand this in. We decided to choose Bolívar and Pichincha squares as our location, since it's a square, or rather, two squares joined together, which have lots of trees and very nice places to paint and also to take photos. We sat on one of the benches, which are also quite large and very comfortable, at least for painting. I brought all my materials, that is, my watercolor pad, my watercolor pencils, my solid watercolors, and my creamy watercolors. In addition to other tools such as water, pencils, and so on.

La experiencia debo decir que me gustó y al mismo tiempo no tanto, ya que siento que mi miopía está ligada con mi astigmatismo y serán que no me concentrara bien en lo que estaba viendo, ya que eran demasiados elementos juntos. Si estuve enfocándome mucho en la foto que tomé para poder en el teléfono como sin entrarme más en lo que debía pintar, y aunque a mí no me gustó mucho la pintura a mi profesor le gustó bastante dijo que estaba bastante bien, literalmente se fueron sus palabras y yo con eso honestamente me conformo. Si me gusta pintar en acuarela, como siento que es algo bastante divertido y por lo menos lo disfruto, nos leemos pronto!

I must say that I liked the experience, but at the same time, not so much, since I feel that my myopia is linked to my astigmatism and I couldn't concentrate well on what I was seeing, as there were too many elements together. I was focusing a lot on the photo I took on my phone instead of concentrating on what I was supposed to be painting, and although I didn't like the painting very much, my teacher liked it quite a bit and said it was pretty good.
