Uff es que ni yo sé cómo contarles lo mucho que me gusta esta saga tan increíble con personajes que son mi imperio romano. Resulta que, en la reseña anterior, le estuve contando mis opiniones sobre "Heredera de Fuego" un libro donde ya se empieza a ver lo bueno de esta serie y ahora en "Reina de Sombras" explota aún más. Recordemos que en el libro anterior Aelin, ya dominando más su poder y sus sentidos de Hada, vuelve a Rifthold, en Adarlan. Y en este libro, llegando, se encuentra con su maestro y Rey de los Asesinos, Arobynn Hamel, y con Chaol. Estos le informan que su primo Aedion Ashryver se encuentra prisionero en el castillo de cristal y será ejecutado, así que el plan es rescatarlo.

It turns out that, in the previous review, I was telling you my opinions about "Heiress of Fire" a book where the good things of this series are already beginning to be seen and now in "Queen of Shadows" it explodes even more. Let's remember that in the previous book Aelin, already mastering more her power and her Fairy senses, returns to Rifthold, in Adarlan. And in this book, arriving, he meets his master and King of the Assassins, Arobynn Hamel, and Chaol. They inform him that his cousin Aedion Ashryver is imprisoned in the crystal castle and will be executed, so the plan is to rescue him.

En esta primera parte solo podemos ver planes y alianzas. Aelin se pone la máscara de "Celaena" y hace un trato con Arobynn para liberar a Aedion, él la ayudaría si ella le lleva un Valg vivo. Con Chaol, Nesryn y los rebeldes, el trato es trabajar "juntos", liberar a Aedion y mantener a Dorian vivo, ya que este tiene un collar Valg y está poseído. Algo que yo amo de Aelin es su capacidad para siempre tener un plan que ni tú como lector vas a saber hasta que sencillamente sucede, es la mejor de todas jaja. Y bueno, en este libro conocemos a Lysandra, una cortesana y antigua enemiga de "Celaena", ella le lleva una carta a Aelin donde dice que fue Arobynn quien ordeno la muerte de Sam Cortland, el novio de Aelin cuando era joven, y yo presumo que también fue Arobynn quien la traicionó para que terminara en Endovier.

Luego llega Rowan a Rifthold, porque no podía estar más tiempo sin nada que hacer y quería acompañar a Aelin, en estos capítulos vemos como se cocina algo entre ellos y es bastante lento eso, pero no me quejo. También llega Lorcan, un guerrero Hada con el don del Dios de la muerte buscando a Aelin y las llaves para llevárselas a Maeve. Lorcan al principio cae mal, y después cae peor, pero sus interacciones son pocas, Aelin lo jdoe bastnate. Ya para avanzar en la historia, Aelin después de cumplir el trato con Arobynn y este la traicionará nuevamente poniéndole un anillo Valg, ella finge, sorprendiéndonos nuevamente porque desconocíamos el plan de Aelin, y al llegar a su apartamento se descubre la verdad. Al otro día, Lysandra mata a Arobynn, revelándose en su testamento que Aelin se quedaría con toda su fortuna, eso le bastaría a ella para tener un ejército.

En pocas palabras, más horrores del Valg. Y hay un enfrentamiento muy heavy entre Aelin y Manon, donde Aelin la salva porque "es muy buena peleando como para morir". En este libro es también donde Kaltain Rompier, una chica que en el primer libro estaba enamorada de Dorian, decide explotar un tercio de Morath con su fuego de sombras, ya que ella tenía un Valg y la piedra Wryd dentro de ella, dándosela a Elide Lochan para que se la lleve a "Celaena Sardothien" y cumpla su promesa, de quemarlos a todos.

El grupo maravilla traza un plan para poder tumbar la torre que está en el castillo y liberar la magia, esto lo hacen Rowan, Aedion y Lorcan. Mientras Aelin intenta liberar a Dorian y lo consigue, un momento de felicidad por eso. Aelin y Dorian se juntan para acabar con el Rey de Adarlan, destruyen el castillo y entre el caos se enteran de que el Rey siempre estuvo esclavizado por un Valg, que "todo lo que hizo" fue para proteger a Dorian y estaba esperando que Aelin lo salvara, es decir, que lo matara. Al final Dorian es quien lo mata, dejando una marca en el que duraría mucho tiempo. El castillo se destruye y una ola de cristales casi acaban con Rifthold, pero Aelin lo para con su fuego y se proclama regente hasta que Dorian esté bien, en eso cae por agotamiento. Cuando ya todos despiertan se enteran de que Chaol ha quedado paralítico debido a un golpe en la columna por el padre de Dorian. Así que este se va con Nesryn hacia el conveniente del sur. Aelin parte hacia Terrasen con los demás y Dorian se quedará reparando su reino. Creo que una de las cosas que me hizo sentir tristeza fue la separación de este grupo, ya este sería el cuarto libro de casi todos juntos y la verdad uno de los más emocionantes, especialmente cuando por fin se liberó la magia, de los mejores momentos de esta saga. Al final de estas reseñas les dejaré mi top de estos libros, peor por ahora los dejo hasta aca, nos leemos pronto!

The wonder group devises a plan to knock down the tower in the castle and free the magic, this is done by Rowan, Aedion and Lorcan. Aelin and Dorian team up to take down the King of Adarlan, they destroy the castle and amidst the chaos they learn that the King was always enslaved by a Valg, that "everything he did" was to protect Dorian and he was waiting for Aelin to save him, that is, to kill him. In the end Dorian is the one who kills him, leaving a mark on him that would last a long time. The castle is destroyed and a wave of crystals almost kills Rifthold, but Aelin stops him with his fire and proclaims himself regent until Dorian is well, at which point he falls from exhaustion. When everyone wakes up they learn that Chaol has been paralyzed due to a blow to the spine by Dorian's father. So he leaves with Nesryn to the convenient south. Aelin leaves for Terrasen with the others and Dorian will stay behind repairing his kingdom. I think one of the things that made me feel sad was the separation of this group, as this would be the fourth book of almost all together and the truth one of the most exciting, especially when the magic was finally released, one of the best moments of this saga.
