Snapshots And Stories: PhotoFeed Contest - Wildlife Photography 129.

Stepping out one bright morning to get vegetables in my garden, I stumbled upon this fascinating scene - a pair of adorable lizards, basking on a motor vehicle tire which was sat on a pile of some moulded blocks packed close to my garden.

Their tranquil demeanor sparked my curiosity, and I couldn't keep myself from wondering if they were a couple, enjoying a romantic moment under the morning sun. A perfect scene for "two can tango." 😅

On a closer look, their features and patterns confirmed my curiosity. They're actually male and female Agama lizards. The larger lizard, with its vibrant blue-red colored patterns and large, robust red head matched the feature of a male Agama lizard, while the smaller one, with its more subdued colors of olive green with a brown back, was no doubt, its perfect complement.

Seeing their heads darted sideways, I couldn't help but imagine what they were up to. Were they planning their next hunt, sharing secrets, or simply enjoying each other's company? At that moment, I wished I could understand their language. That way, I wouldn't be left wondering like "Alice in Wonderland." Lol. 😅

After taking some snapshots, I found myself chuckling at the thought of these creatures enjoying the beauty of the morning.

You might wonder what's so special about these two lizards. Actually, there's none, they're just the usual lizards we see almost everywhere, but their presence in my garden was a subtle reminder that sometimes, all it takes is a glance at the natural world to find inspiration and joy. More often than not, they could be found in the most simplest things.

However, owing to our busy daily life, we often overlook the beauty and the small wonders of nature around us, but taking out a moment to observe, and appreciate the beauty in our surroundings can be truly uplifting and equally ignite the spark we need to take on life's journey - one day at a time.

Thank you for reading.

Those lizards were planning their honeymoon. They want a spot in your garden but you hi disrupt their jollification 😂😂

Haha how comical that story you have imagined with the two lizards. Just enough candles and maybe that's true, they are talking or plotting something as you say, hehehe. We don't stop to see those details of wildlife, it's very exciting. Good luck in the contest. Regards.

Hehehe. I'm glad you found the post interesting. Some of these creatures have a way of acting as if they were humans sometimes.
Thank you.
