Perched Between - PhotoFeed Contest Black and White Photography 158

It's amazing how one can think up an idea, and after putting it to work, the comes becomes mind-blowing. You know this saying, "if you think it, you can do it."

So, I was taking a leisurely walk back home from work a few days ago, and I spotted some pigeons perched on an electric wire. They were actually two, but one flew away before I could get any closer. I was expecting this one to also follow suit, but it hung there, lost in the act of preening herself.

Perfect timing! I said. Phone in hand, I began taking shots of the bird. However, the shot was challenging, owing to the height and my phone's limitations. At first, the photos were to be for the Feathered Friends community, but the outcome wasn't good enough - the photos were damn blurry.

I wasn't gonna give up on snapping the bird, so I thought, "Why not create something unique in black and white - something like a trapped bird?" And that was it!.

In order to achieve the desired effect, I zoomed in on the bird, cleverly framing it against the black barbed wire design on the wall. And the outcome was exactly as I envisioned.

I was glad that I didn't allow the initial challenge to discourage me from snapping the bird. And I didn't just snap the bird, but I created a beautiful work of art.

Take a look...

Pray! Tell me what you think about the photos. Thank you.

I love the way your mind works! Steady using difficult situations to your advantage. I must admit that this is a beautiful entry and the effect of the trapped bird was well captured and also well received. Well done!

Everything looks better in black or white. Hehe. Have a great weekend, Luchyl.

You know, there's a way out of any difficult situation.
And yes, nothing beats black and white photos. Epic, aren't they?

Have a fabulous weekend.

Did you zoom in before you took the shots? Looks to me like you actually had to zoom in, it's evident in the loss of details on the photo, especially the first one

Yes, I did. Also mentioned it in the post, seems like you missed that part.
