Grocery Run, Time For A Walk!

Happy Hump day folks! How do you do?
It's another Wednesday and you know how we do it - share posts about our walks including photos of interesting things we found - whether at the garden park, beach, along the street, our gardens, home surrounding, neighborhood or just anywhere we enjoy taking a walk. So I welcome you to #wednesdaywalk, a nice initiative by @tatoojay.

Some time last week, I needed to pick up some groceries from God's Own supermarket, one of the listed businesses that accepts HBD payment here in my city. I presume you may have come across some of my shopping reviews about the supermarket.

Since it's a walkable distance from my office at Azikiwe road to the supermarket - Google showed 8mins and about 600 meters. I'm not sure about the accuracy of the mileage but for the timing, it's way more than 8mins.

That nonwithstanding, I decided to go for it. Plus, it's been a while since I took a walk around my city, so it was a good opportunity to do so.

The weather was also favorable, making the walk very enjoyable and refreshing. At least, I got to capture the sights and sounds along the way. That's part of the deal. Lol.

And here we have the photos.

A boutique located just few blocks away from my office building. You can already see the name and the beautiful clothes displayed.

Moving on, we have a mobile phone technician, quite experienced in what he does. You can see people waiting for their devices to be fixed.

Some guys offloading fabrics from a container.

A familiar sight in my city, an advertising billboard.

Look at this motorbike. It has become a popular ride in my city in recent times.

Taking a closer look, you'll see some guys on the grind. They're thrift sellers of fairly used footwears.

Seems like they've got a buyer.

They've got some nice footwears. I spotted this cute one, unfortunately it wasn't my size.

Away from Azikiwe road, now at Ube street heading to the supermarket. And here we have another boutique with trendy outfits.

A sewing material store.

A bicycle under lock and chain. A perfect example of vehicles are parked on owner's risk. 😂

Another roadside food vendor offering fried treats - yam, potato, fish, etc.

Close up shot. Can you see the treats. Yummy. 😋 No I didn't stop to buy.

Ube street on a busy day, folks hustling for their daily bread.

Finally arrived the supermarket and spotted this cute hat. Seeing this hat brought back fond memories of Christmas. Back then, this hat was every girl's dream for Christmas. Hehehe.

And that brings me to the end of the walk.
