Ghatshila Tour (Part 01) : Burudi Lake

In today's blog I will share a travel post with you. A few days ago I went to a place called Ghatshila in Jharkhand. What I did there is a big story. I will share it in another blog.

Today I went there and shared how I went there.

Ghatshila is an important tourist center of Jharkhand. It is possible to get the taste of mountains, forests, rivers, springs at the same time. Although this place is located in Jharkhand, the language of many people here is Bengali. But they speak a little different Bengali. It is not the same as we speak Bengali.

On the first day of the tour, the place we visited with my friends was Burudi Lake. The first thing we saw was the blue water of the lake, surrounded by mountains. The first thing we did when we got here was to have some vegetable rice from a local food hotel as we had a lot of traveling planned after that. Here the food hotels were all Bengalis. The number of Bengalis seems to be much higher here. However, the price of vegetable rice here is not much higher than other places. This place was located six kilometers north of Ghatshila...

This place was built during the British rule. The Binda Mela is held here in the month of October near this big lake. It is a very popular boating sport for the Santal tribe. There are boating facilities near this lake but we did not get these facilities when we visited as the water in the lake was very dry. We finished our meal and went a little further down to the water of the lake.

After going there, my friends went down to the lake to change their clothes. They took the dress with them as they were going down in the lake water. Although they did not bathe, they went down for a while and then they came up. After coming down to the lake, we had to stay in the hot sun. Even though I took an umbrella and sunglasses with me I could still feel the effects of the sun. We could not take off the sunglasses while taking pictures. Still somehow managed to take some pictures of ourselves.

Moreover, I captured several scenes of natural beauty around. which I have shared with you. While spending time here, our toto driver, who was taking us around this tourist spot, took some time to sleep in the toto. When we went upstairs and found him sleeping we went back down and spent some more time there as friends because we didn't want to disturb that toto walla. Because he looked like he was very tired. Anyway the water in the lake below was very nice. It is very nice to see such a place surrounded by mountains on the other side of the lake. We spent more than an hour at this place. Since the heat of the afternoon sun was high, it was not possible to stay there for a long time. Then we went to another tourist spot. I will share about that in another episode.
