Snapshots of Cebu: A Simple Diary

Hi everyone, it’s me again, @lorene08, back with another blog to share!!

This blog was supposed to be the next part of my Cebu City trip, following my “Cebu Ocean Park Diary,” but I forgot to upload it because I was so excited to share my immersion journey with you all, lol HAHAHAH! But here it is! This is just a simple blog where I’ll share some pictures I took while I was staying in Cebu.

As you all may know, this was my first time being back in the city for some important errands, and I was really thinking about what I would do during my short stay with my cousin and father.

One thing I noticed is that Cebu City is always noisy. You can literally hear cars and other vehicles honking, vehicles passing by, and even people talking from afar or nearby—you can really hear them clearly! Especially at night, it’s very lively because many people are still outside walking and doing different activities.

And mind you, I was very observant the whole time, especially when we were just enjoying the view with my cousin from the hotel/lodge where we were staying. Welcome to Room 402, by the way! HAHAHAH 🤗

Another thing is that most places or areas in the city are very Instagrammable—you know, perfect for taking random pictures! Even though the air is not always fresh because of smoke from vehicles and canals, I admit that there are still areas that are pleasant to look at.

And of course, another typical city moment—there are many types and designs of buses! There are mini buses and regular buses, but you will mostly see air-conditioned buses around the city. But nothing is more fun than riding a jeepney, guys 😉

And most importantly—and for me, one of the reasons why I feel both excited and scared to stay in the city for a long time—there are so many places to go, which means more money to spend HAHAHAHA! There are really a lot of nice places to visit in the city, especially the malls. They offer more products compared to malls in small towns or municipalities. And I admit, things are more expensive in the city than in the province, which is understandable since the cost of living is higher, there are more businesses, and products are more accessible and in demand.

But all in all, my short stay in Cebu City was a fun and memorable experience. It may be busy and noisy, but it also has its own beauty and charm that makes you want to explore more.

Thank you for reading this short and simple blog, guys! See you in my next blogs!! 🫶🏻

Cebu is just like Manila pala, always noisy and some people seem not fond of sleeping at all. 🤣
