Passport Power Rank

Hello Hive and Travel Community! Today let's talk about a country's passport power for my entry in #aprilinleo. Simply put, passport power counts the number of countries where one can travel without the need for Visa. A Visa is an official document attached to your passport that gives you permission to enter a particular country.

Why do Countries Require Visas?

By requiring potential visitors to apply for Visas, countries can screen travelers. This can prevent illegal immigrants from entering a country.

Why do I have to apply for a Visa to enter Japan while other nationalities don't?

This is because of Japan's Visa policy which states who can enter their country. The policy can also allow certain nationalities to enter Japan Visa free. Unfortunately for the Philippines, it does not have an agreement with Japan for its citizens to enter Japan Visa free. On the other hand, the Philippines allow Japanese citizens to enter the Philippines without need for Visa. Usually this is a bilateral agreement but because of certain considerations like illegal immigration this is not so.

On the bright side, our country is rank 61st and can go to 78 countries Visa free or Visa on arrival. Among the countries/territories I plan to visit are Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia.

I am currently on vacation in Japan and enjoying the experience here since their culture and dishes has so much difference from ours. Also it's an escape from our country's forty plus celcius heat.

How about you? How does your passport rank in global rankings and which countries do you plan to visit?

Having a passport does come in handy when there is room to travel for vacation. You seem to be enjoying yourself, keep doing that and have a nice time.

That's awesome, I haven't been to Japan yet. I hope you enjoy!

Visas can be a pain, it's all political... Some places I don't need a visa others I do and some can be very expensive! Have fun!
