Hello Hive and Travel Community! This is another entry to #aprilinleo. Today's topic is "Things that can be improved in your town".

It's the ninth day of my visit in Tokyo, Japan and I have been snapping photos to preserve memories of my visit as much as I can.

Walking the streets of Tokyo, I can't help but notice how clean they are. This is a stark contrast in our country (Philippines) where I am constantly frustrated by people just throwing their trash anywhere like candy wrappers, cigarette butts and plastic cups.

Even in Shibuya where there are a lot of people, trash is conspicuously absent.

The problem in our country is that we are careless about our trash. People would throw them in the streets expecting the street sweepers to take care of them. This would cause diseases and floods as the plastic would block drainage during rainy season. It's also unsightly and disgusting as well as embarrassing to tourists. If you have visited our country then you know what I mean 😞

I hope parents will teach kids to be disciplined to throw their thrash in the proper bins or keep them until they find one. Our government should also educate our people to do so and impose stiff penalties to littering. This may be a small improvement but it has considerable effect on our lives.

Thank you for reading and be safe on your travels!

It has much to do with the behavioral aspect of the individual and the society thereof. Japanese are known for their modesty and they know how to manifest it in cleanliness.

When I read this line it took me back to Jujutsu Kaisen Shibuya arc.

The government should place sanctions on people that litter and enforce the law with the police, maybe when people hear two or three persons have gone to jail for six months for trashing the environment the the general public will be force to behave well and dump their trash in the right place.

I think those who carelessly toss their trash anywhere lack discipline.

Enjoy your Japan adventure😉

Thank you. Discipline starts at home and school. If children are taught by their parents and teachers then we may see improvements in the future.

That's right. We are taught disciplines at home. We carry them through wherever we go.
