Recently, I often ask myself the question: "Where else have I not traveled from Marseille." This time I got to Orange. It is about the same distance from Marseille as it is to Arles, but the train to Orange goes through Arles, so it takes half an hour longer. Everything is great in Orange. And the triumphal arch looks great for its 2000 years, and the Roman theater is in perfect condition. The only theater of its kind, which has preserved the back wall. Well, like a wall: 100 meters wide, 35 meters high. Power!

Quote from the UNESCO website: "Located in the valley of the Rhone River, the ancient theater of Orange, with a facade length of 103 m, is one of the best preserved among all the largest ancient Roman theaters. The ancient Roman arch of Orange, built between 10 and 25 AD under the reign of Augustus , recognized as one of the most beautiful and remarkable among all the provincial triumphal arches that have survived to this day. It is decorated with bas-reliefs commemorating the achievements of the ancient Roman world (Pax Romana)."
