Rotterdam - Summer local trip [ENG-ESP] Viaje local de verano

Hello Pinmapple friends, how are you? I hope you are having a good day and traveling as much as your soul asks you to. I for my part, not so much, but there is no lack of desire and as I always say, trips are lived 3 times, when planning them, when doing them and when remembering them. Today we travel together in my photographic memory, of the wonderful day I spent when I visited the city of Rotterdam.

Yo por mi parte, no tanto, pero sí que ganas no faltan y como siempre digo, los viajes se viven 3 veces, al planearlos, al hacerlos y al recordarlos. Hoy viajamos juntos en mi recuerdo fotográfico, del día maravilloso que pasé cuando conocí la ciudad de Rotterdam.

If you would like to see the first summary of this trip, here it is. My brothers are living there and I went on vacation, with few goals and dreams, I wanted to rest and enjoy everything within my reach, but I also wanted to know some places that had always called my attention.

So my older brother and I set out on the approximately one hour trip to Rotterdam. We were looking for information about the places where I wanted to go, but I also wanted to be amazed by my brother's experience. So we got there, went to the port and that's where the best part began.

Así fue que mi hermano mayor y yo emprendimos el viaje de una hora aproximadamente, hasta Rotterdam. Fuimos buscando los datos de los sitios donde yo quería ir, pero también quería dejarme maravillar por la experiencia de mi hermano. Entonces allí llegamos, fuimos al puerto y ahí comenzó lo mejor.

I was amazed by the sculptures, boats and information about the city. Incredibly different from everything in the Netherlands: new, remodeled by the destruction they lived through in the war. Artistic, beautiful, I am crazy about the bricks, which I understand throughout the country are reused, and their color combinations enchant me. The main bridge, the summer scenery, this day is unbeatable. We walked like never before.

Me dejé sorprender por esculturas, barcos y datos de la ciudad. Increíblemente distinta a todo en Países Bajos: nueva, remodelada por la destrucción que vivieron en la Guerra. Artística, hermosa, me enloquece el dato de los ladrillos, que entiendo a lo largo de todo el país son reutilizados, y sus combinaciones de colores me encantan. El puente principal, el paisaje veraniego, este día es inmejorable. Hemos caminado como nunca.

We passed by the building that are given, by the pencil, and by the horseshoe.Truly every corner has its secret, although I can not remember all the details today. My admiration went to the bridge, to the sculptures and monuments of Erasmus, of course, I come from Argentina, where "Erasmus of Rotterdam" was only the name of a philosopher, I never thought I would know that city, so I laughed a little from my nerves.

Pasamos por el edificio que son dados, por el lápiz, y por la herradura. Verdaderamente cada rincón tiene su secreto, aunque no puedo recordar todos los detalles hoy. Mi admiración fue hacia el puente, hacia las esculturas y monumentos del Erasmo, es que claro, vengo de Argentina, donde “Erasmo de Rotterdam” solo era el nombre de un filósofo, que nunca pensé conocería dicha ciudad, entonces de los nervios, me rio un poco.

This brother enjoys walking like me (Mauro, the oldest) so we walked in search of a bar or restaurant where we could stop to eat for a long time, until we found the one we liked the most. There we recharged our energy, ready to continue the ride.

Este hermano disfruta de caminar como yo (Mauro, el mayor) así que anduvimos en busca de un bar o restaurante donde frenar a comer durante mucho rato, hasta que dimos con el que nos agradó más. Allí recargamos energía, listos para seguir el paseo.

We also stopped for a long time near the water, it's what I prefer the most when I go for a ride, stopping near the water, the canals, the port. It's relaxing and I really enjoy ending my rides that way. Take some pictures and let the tiredness flow, so I go back home, thinking that this place must look amazing at night, maybe another time I'll come back and have the chance to take night pictures!

También frenamos mucho rato cerca del agua, es de lo que más prefiero a la hora de pasear, frenar cerca del agua, de los canales, del puerto. Es relajante y disfruto mucho finalizar así mis paseos. Tomar algunas fotos y dejar fluir el cansancio, así retomo al hogar, pensando que este lugar debe verse increíble por la noche, quizás en otra oportunidad regrese y tenga la posibilidad de tomar fotos nocturnas!

My travel log of that year ended with several drawings, I can't find exactly where this one I show you today was from, but I know it was probably one of the first streets we took in Rotterdam and I let it make me fall in love with its details, vehicles, buildings and traffic signs.

Mi bitácora de viajes de ese año finalizó con varios dibujos, no encuentro exactamente de dónde fue este que les muestro hoy, pero sé que seguramente haya sido una de las primeras calles que tomamos en Rotterdam y yo dejé que me enamorase con sus detalles, vehículos, edificios y señales de tránsito.

Always grateful to have you join me and read my travels. I am ready to say goodbye and I hope to see you again soon on another trip of memory, but be warned for the next one, my other brother (Javier, the little one) does not enjoy walking so much, but he enjoys cycling and I hope to tell you all about it soon, because we were going for a walk -not a ride- and it was also fun and captivating in its own way.

Siempre agradecida de que me acompañen y lean mis viajes. Estoy lista para la despedida y espero volver a vernos pronto en otro viaje del recuerdo, pero están avisados para la próxima, mi otro hermano (Javier, el pequeño) no disfruta tanto caminar, pero si ir en bicicleta y espero poder contarles todo pronto, porque íbamos de paseo a - no pasear- y también resultó divertido y cautivador a su manera.
