Hudak Farm & Greenhouse (Swanton, VT)
We were headed to Stowe this morning for a day trip, but my tire pressure light came on about 30 minutes into our drive. I pulled over at the nearest exit in St. Albans to fill my tires with air, but it was unsuccessful. I decided it was best to turn around and head home until we could find a better air pump for the tires. From the unfamiliar gas station in St. Albans, I used the GPS to guide me on my way back home. The GPS took us on a new route home through Swanton, Vermont. On the way back, we passed Hudak Farm & Greenhouse. When we saw all the pumpkins out front, we knew it was necessary to stop.
I was disappointed that our trip to Stowe was cancelled, but thought it was serendipitous that we stumbled across this place. It had to be the cutest farm stand I've come across. It was like being in an autumn fairytale with all of the gourd varieties, flowers, and intricate wood carving on the antique barn and outbuildings. The inside of the barn was just as amazing and included a colorful variety of local organic produce among more intricate wood carving and flowers. The Buddha statue and black tori gate added a subtle touch of zen to the whimsical and rustic atmosphere. I was mesmerized by this adorable place and took many photos; you can check them out below.

I love coming across those little gems! We have done that numerous times over the years and have found places that we visit time and again as the years go by. It’s certainly some of the best exploration. We spend more time at farms than we do anything else and it’s amazing. I’m glad that it sounds like you and your family do that as well!
Sucks your trip to Stowe got cancelled but this was an acceptable substitute. It’s been decades since I’ve been to Stowe, one day we will go back.
what a beautiful farm, it looks like a magazine.
A dream come true.
pumpkins in themselves are myths, not only for consumption but also for certain paranormal works, because of their diverse properties.
