Blessed Brewed Coffee by My Boss 🙌🏼
It was a very cooling day, but also a very good day...
A day when most people in Malaysia wouldn't want to get up because of the morning rains and evening thunders, and wished they are bears starting their hibernation.
But we must wake up too, in supporting the young people in Malaysia, particularly 17 and 18 year old, who are battling through this cold wet weather and sit in cold hard chairs facing their toughest final exam, before crossing over to Tertiary Education (College or University) or venture out into the workforce, charting their own destiny.
(The youngest in my household is also sitting this super important exam, we are praying for her unceasingly)
But today was so much easier to go through because, out of the norm, my boss decided to bless us with brewed coffee downstairs. He doesn't do that often, but when he does, he is generous.

Giddily joyful, we who accepted his offer received this cute little cup that is strong enough to fuel us throughout the day.
And there is more!

The brewer barista decided to surprise us with such beautiful barista art, that if we never open the cover, we would not realise it being there!
Just so happened because I wanted to keep it warm and decided to move the coffee from a paper cup to a flask, I saw it.
Immediately, I messaged my colleague to check for hers!
She was having a hard 4-weeks:
- children facing trouble at school
- her falling sick continuously until the doctor diagnosed her with Tinnitus and stuffed with lots of antibiotics
- challenges with tasks getting down while husband is out of town for work

What she had was perfect for her
The coffee we received was prepared by the barista, who doesn't know who will get what, and I knew immediately this was a Divine Encounter, because only God would knew what exactly we needed to be encouraged and reminded that He is watching over us.

I wanted to capture this conversation we have while rushing our respective work at our stations in the blockchain forever; a reminder that we are never alone when we felt like being alone.
And just so happened this morning when I was doing audio devotion while stuck in the jam (because I woke up late and didn't have time to do quiet time) it quoted
"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit" - Psalm 34:18
It is because I have seen her determine to come to work despite falling sick and feeling tension from all the work stress and her children's challenges, this was perfect for her as a word of encouragement.

She was so candid to interpret my coffee art too, even paying detail to how many leaves that shaped as a tree for mine.
For me, the only Word that spoke to my heart was this:
Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
He is like a tree planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
Psalms 1:1-3
I do admit that I have been feeling exhausted and frustrated with so much chatter around with so many things happened recently, where death and destruction is not far in and around Malaysia; but I know my heart has been reminded to keep my eye focused on God, because that's what exactly I prayed while rushing to get ready for work.
There is never a chance when it comes to such things
And I should know it - miracle after miracle that has happened in my family despite of the obstacles bars seems raised higher every time.
All I need, is not to loose focus
Until Then
Stay healthy, stay curious and learn new things, and stay happy!
