Walk around ~ THE LOUVRE buildings at SUNSET in Paris France 🇫🇷

Hi all 👋🏻

With this post I’m joining in at the Wednesday Walk challenge and Make me Smile challenge. That are hosted by @tattoodjay and @elizacheng every week on Wednesday.

‼️Have a look: Here in the Wednesday Walk Community if you want to join in! or at @tattoodjay ’s Post here: “Wednesday Walk another visit to Mattapoisett“
It tells you also the rules of joining in, at the end of his post 😁

Of course you know by now I have been in Paris, France 🇫🇷 Beginning of the month of July.
Today I want to share with you a walk around THE LOUVRE buildings at SUNSET in Paris. 🌅😎

Today’s selection will be of 36 photos 😎 taken in the 1th Arr. /District of Paris.
My Photos are all taken with my iPhone on 4 July 2022
I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are walking along with me 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 Around these amazing museum buildings that are located in the romantic city of Paris 😊

Location on Google maps, see the yellow marked area:

More information about THE LOUVRE you find
In their own website here!
Or
In the following website from Wikipedia!

It states:
”The Louvre or the Louvre Museum (French: Musée du Louvre), is the world's most-visited museum, and a historic landmark in Paris, France. It is the home of some of the best-known works of art, including the Mona Lisa and the Venus de Milo. A central landmark of the city, it is located on the Right Bank of the Seine in the city's 1st arrondissement (district or ward).”

The pyramid structures you will see in the photos… you find more informations about In this Wikipedia website!

It States:
”The Louvre Pyramid (Pyramide du Louvre) is a large glass and metal structure designed by the Chinese-American architect I. M. Pei. The pyramid is in the main courtyard (Cour Napoléon) of the Louvre Palace in Paris, surrounded by three smaller pyramids. The large pyramid serves as the main entrance to the Louvre Museum. Completed in 1988 as part of the broader Grand Louvre project, it has become a landmark of the city of Paris.”

Let’s start our walk for today… are you coming?

We walk past the Seine towards to LOUVRE and see a boat go by.

Let’s look closer at the bridge and the buildings across the Seine.

We reached part of the Louvre… located across the busy road. We decide to walk a bit further as there is a crossing located.

View towards the right…

Our view across the road. Look at the architecture 🤩 what a magnificent building this palace is.

Walking through the entrance we see these columns.

We enter a large courtyard that we cross…

We look around us. It is so large. 😎

We are following the people that seem to walk in one direction.

The sun is shining through the entrance…

I capture this view… and see part of the famous pyramid structure.

A quick step to the right… and I take this view through the locked gate.

When we enter the next courtyard where the pyramids are located, the sun is setting…. I go down… all the way to take this shot 😎😉🤓 people are passing by.

Let’s wander around and take in the views:

Details are needed 😉😎

We decide to sit down against the large building on the bench and watch the world go by for a little while… 😎 our view:

As we are sitting here… lots is actually happening.
Across from us, a photoshoot. This is such a time I wished I had my DSLR camera with zoom lens. My phone will do hahaha 🤣 it is blurry enough to post 😉 Next we see a few couples taking wedding photos. Rather interesting to see… no I won’t share those 🤓

She is freezing, as it is rather cold now the sun is almost gone.

The sun is setting further and I take a look to the left… 🌅

I get up quickly and take the following photo.

Let’s walk further around now… to get some more angles of these structures around us. 😊

This statue is towering high above us.

Views towards the left.

Looking back… all is getting golden now, warm colours everywhere 🥰

Different angle…

Just above the water basin 😎🌅

The sunset is very soft… today.

A last capture… of the entire courtyard and Ferris wheel 🎡

We walk out of the LOUVRE towards the river the Seine again, and capture this last photo of the Eiffel Tower in the soft sunset 🌅 🥰

And that’s all for today! Stay tuned for more Paris related content 👋🏻😁😉 Until next time 😎
Hope you enjoyed my photos of this adventure around the Louvre museum buildings in Paris. Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻 Really much appreciated!
Here is my next post of Paris @joetunex, @wrestlingdesires ☺️ (Let me know when I shouldn’t continue tagging you, please)

Amazing photography! It is not easy to take photographs of buildings and architecture. Or, for me, it's not easy! Stunning.

And how lucky are you not to have visited there! I would give anything to spend days on end walking through the halls looking at all the art. One can never spend enough time looking at great artwork.

Stunning post!

Thank you so much @fermentedphil 😊😎 much appreciated!
It isn’t easy to get large buildings photographed, I edited the angles and perspective in the photos, so it is more pleasant to look at them 😉🤓

I can imagine, it is wonderful to walk around there. This time (long weekend) I didn’t go into the museum itself.
But just being there and wandering around the outside… is already amazing. Paris is one of those cities that is mesmerising.

Thank you kindly, have an amazing Wednesday further 👋🏻☀️

I thought that the lack of art photographs in your post was due to either (i) you not being allowed to photographs inside, or (ii) you did not go in. So the latter!

That I can see, the outside is like an artwork in itself, right? The architecture is amazing.

Paris seems like a dream, like Italy and the other architectural "art" hubs in the world.

Enjoy the rest of this week! And happy safe travels.

Yep, it was the latter 😉
I have been inside this museum before, with school when I was a young teenager… many many moons ago. So I had seen it.

I know the buildings and their architecture is already amazing, like art… I studied engineering so I appreciate it even more 🤓😉

It is, one of those cities that bursts out of its seams with “art” and just everything around 🤩🤩

Thank you so much @fermentedphil 👋🏻😊 you too!
Enjoy your day and soon weekend ☀️💃🏻

That is awesome! To the trained eye, those buildings are more than art. They are masterpieces.

And I can think, everything is "artsy" in those places. You are so lucky to experience it. Enjoy every moment for use who cannot come along physically!

Indeed masterpieces, I truly enjoy looking at those kind of buildings 😎

I will, enjoy every moment when I visit a place like that. 😉🤓 I shall share my adventures here…
Soon I have a few more adventures coming up… 😉🤓 can’t wait to share @fermentedphil
Enjoy your Monday!

Paris is exactly that… French, elegant and amazing in everything.

At the moment I’m not so active due to having the flu/ bad cold… but will be on my feet again soon 😊
We move (which wasn’t planned) end of the month beginning next month. So busy times ahead.
Hope you and yours are fine 😎 have a wonderful Wednesday further 👋🏻

I enjoyed a lot! Thank you for the lovely tour around Lourve! Lurv it 😂
It's actually my first time to see the pyramids up close. I thought you can enter and can see the inside from standing outside.
You had the perfect timing of going there! The sunset is soooo nice!
I love everything!

Thank you so much @wittyzell 😊
You can enter the big pyramid where the iron poles where standing for the rows of people. At the time we were there it was closed already. So you don’t see it on the photos that clear.
Also one of the close ups, if you look closely you see the escalator going down with lights next to it.

I loved seeing the sunset there 🌅 thank you for joining me.
Have a great day further 👋🏻

Oh yes, I saw the escalator.
Your photos are clear actually, it's just probably my eyes 😂
They close early? I really thought you could not get inside. Or like only for special people. 😂

Thanks so much 😉
They are open during the day… when I visited/ walked around there it was closer to 2100h in the evening. There are many entrances to get into the museum, most tourists only know the one on the courtyard, with long lines. But side entrances are less busy. Most do get tickets on-line.

Wow! What beautiful architecture! I love the mix of the modern with the old where you show the modern pyramids. The massive, rock-solid palace versus the modern pyramid with lots of glass.

And then there is the sunset...! Awesome👍!

Thank you for sharing this with us, @littlebee4!

Great pics! Funny how when I was living in Paris, I often crossed the place with the Louvres pyramid, I would not even look at it, nor take pics, and was trying to walk as quickly as possible to avoid the pyramid miniature sellers 😄

I have to admit that your post rekindled the love of a Parisian for his home town! Wonderful sunset, enjoy your stay!

Thank you so much @edprivat 😊
I soooo understand what you mean. I moved close to 50 times and live in country number 5 now. When you live in a place like this (Paris) you forget to look… “with fresh eyes” you don’t see these things and just want to go where you need to go. Hehehe 🤭 rather funny.

So cool to hear that my post rekindled the love for your home town. That means a lot.
I was born in France too, province Cher, but sadly only lived there until I was 2 years old.
Now living in Spain, until our big move 😉 country 6 is coming up… hopefully soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

We are back home again, this was a long weekend last July 😉

Wow, that pyramid is so beautiful and intriguing, I have never seen one love before and this seems like a really beautiful view. I love it more when the sun was setting and pointing in the direction of the pyramid.

All the images have really beautiful stories behind them that I can choose to tell myself and I just smile looking at them. I can imagine the cold, but I guess those couples were trying to meet up with the task for that day so she hard to just bare the cold.

That statue looks really tall and it's also beautiful to behold, it was more fascinating when the sun also set on it.

It's so good we were able to see the Eiffel Tower again, it's looking so small from here, hehehe.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us Ma'am Jackie ❤️🙏.

Happy to share and you came along with me, enjoying the sunset together in this magical place.
