Hi all 👋🏻

With this post in our lovely #community this Friday for the #MarketFriday by @dswigle - Denise
I will show you my visit to #Aberdeen, #Scotland and the Union Square Shopping centre I visited due to heavy #rain 🌧️ for #lunch 🥗

These 11 photographs are all taken with my #iPhone 🤓 on 10 January 2023 📱while we were driving our road trip through the UK - England and Scotland. That was part of our country move.

We parked our car 🚗 in a large parking garage close to the train station. 🚂
And we walked right into the mall. The rain 🌧️ was torrential that day.
So we walked as much as possible covered while making our way outside towards the Main Street of Aberdeen and surrounding streets.

We saw the following views inside the shopping centre:

We left the building and we’re heading out into the rain, as I was on a mission 😉🤓 hehehe 🤭
Finding some #StreetArt in close by streets.
I found them and shared a few already and will do so in the upcoming weeks.

I like moody days, as they make for great photography 😎

The streets are rather empty this day.

We keep walking through the rain, we didn’t have any umbrellas ☔️

After we found what we were looking for, and explored some areas of the centre of Aberdeen we went into the covered mall again for some lunch. 😊 This was the UNION SQUARE #SHOPPING CENTER. It has some restaurants and bars next to many shops.

We ended up in the following cute restaurant:
THAIKHUN
They serve Thai street food, and their decorations inside are unique.

At the entrance we find:

And the brightly decorated walls are fun to explore. As you see so much. 😎

We ordered some food and drinks.
Of course I didn’t take from everything photographs, hahaha 🤣 but I am improving.
These were our main dishes after a starter of some spring rolls.

After we payed we headed back into the parking garage to drive further on our road trip 🤓🚗

Lovely city and yeah the rain made the photography dramatic. 😁 Nice to see something asian there. Thai food looks familiar and delish. The ingredients looks same with our food.

As far as I can see the right photo and the “crooked” lines is preceding to where pedestrians cross the road. So the cars driving will have to watch out there when people cross.

Aberdeen seems to be a nice city despite the rain... Funny choice, Thai food for the time in this city 😀 But it's true that I don't know anything about Scottish culinary specialties (only whisky), I have to look...

I only saw a tiny little part of this city. Will have to go back one day and explore a bit more.
It was what was open at that time. Everything else wasn’t yet and we didn’t have much time to find other things to eat. But it was a great choice, the food was delicious.
We need to find out the Scottish cuisine too.
