Todays sunny ☀️ walk around the Port of Sotogrande Spain 🇪🇸

Hi all 👋🏻

Today I want to share with you some captures of today’s walk around the Port of Sotogrande ~ Spain. 🇪🇸 We go now to the furthest point and can look back at the port from the other side.
Today is a nice warm day, the temperature is 24 degrees Celsius and no clouds are visible. So bright blue skies are awaiting you ☀️🥰 come along 😉

The 33 Photographs I show you in this post are taken with my iPhone on 6 November 2022. I will follow the time stamps so you can walk with me, see what I saw and so that it looks like you are accompanying me 💃🏻💃🏻😊

Our walking route I marked in green for you:

Let’s start walking…😊

As we enter the port we see right away lots of boats and yachts 🛥

The sun is bright, and I take some photos right into it… they did come out ok 😉

As we walk along, we see some details… look at the glistering ✨ of the sun’s reflections on the boats 🚤

We pass by this dock where you can walk a bit further.

We see sailing boats, my favourites 😎

More details… and in the distance we see the fuelling station we will go to in a bit.

Towards our left we see lots of layers of mountains ⛰ ⛰

The beach between Sotogrande and Torreguadiaro.

Looking at the beach this morning, we see almost no people…

Do you remember my Kite surfing post from recently…? : Captures of KITESURFING in Sotogrande beach ~ Southern Spain 🇪🇸 It’s the same beach.. just empty this time. No wind today or even a breeze… so no good kite surfing weather 🤓

We walk further…

Passing by some beautiful sailing boats 🥰

This one made me chuckle 🤭 do you see why?

The name of the yacht 🛥 😉🤓

Indeed, why not? Hehehe 🤭

I love the clear sky today…

Suddenly we spot some tiny fishies 🐟🐟🐟 next to us.

And a large catamaran.

Across from the pier we are walking we see some larger yachts.

We reached the fuelling station now and our views from there towards Gibraltar 🇬🇮 ( the rock in the distance) is this:

Of course I look at details around us 😉

Walking to the furthest point now and we have these views. The sailing boat is in the right spot 😊📸 yep… great capture, although I say it myself hahaha 🤣

The Sotogrande port buildings at the far end.

The lighthouse further away… you can climb over the rocks… but let’s not do that today. There is no easy path towards it. 🤓

Next to us more rocks.

Looking back now, we see the fuelling station for the boats/ yachts.

Let’s walk back now…

I notice the name of the catamaran now…

“PURA VIDA” ~ “Simple / Pure Life” 🥰😊

On our way out of the port…
I capture this Bougainville plant. As you know #alwaysaflower should be included says @dswigle.

lovely weather on your side of the globe , the images look very welcoming , here in Hollland the weather is slowly turning to cold but we are still above 10 degrees celcius during the day so it could be worse :)

Yep know all about the Dutch weather… dutchy speaking here 😉
That sounds lovely for the time of the year though… enjoy it to the fullest. Soon it’s cold. Here too, and we don’t have heating in the houses in the south. The weather is more extreme than it used to be.

i keep forgetting who's is Ducth or not 🙃 , but atleast we still haven't used the heater here , we have a very well insulated house , hopw are the autumn colours in Spain if you get them that is .

Most trees are still green here

No worries, I know off only a few other Dutchies. Not many around I believe…

That’s good you did not have to use the heater yet.
Nothing is insulated here, the houses. It’s like sitting in the snow in the winter… it gets in your bones… luckily we move out soon. 🤞🏻🍀

The south where we are you see no autumnal changes. I do miss the 4 seasons.
Here it is just summer and winter, nothing really in between.

I see, beautiful…
I lived in Limburg for about 28 years, so lots of green around there.

Me too, I like to wander around there. The cafe’s are always great.

Such a cool gif, to imagine seeing such a large whale 🐳 in a port… wow 🤩 amazing. Haven’t seen a whale in real life yet, but dolphins plenty.

Wow - the blue colours of the sky and the water are just mesmerising. And I love how you can see Gibraltar in the distance - I was wondering what it was. Thats quite a nice marina - looks like a great place for a walk !!!

It was indeed mesmerising today @hoosie 😊😎 perfect weather.
Gib was visible from the marina today. Somedays you don’t see it when it is covered with fog.
It’s a great marina with lots of bars and restaurants. And you can do easily 4km just walking through it. We enjoy going there for a walk.

A new port, that's cool.
Such great weather and photos you brought here, lovely! 24 grades, we still have summer vibes although the evenings and mornings are colder.
Played a gig last night by a pool in one garden and my fingers froze down... Had to take a hot tea to warm them up hahaha
And during the day - summer again

Yes, it is still lovely around here. We are definitely enjoying the nice warm weather during daytime. The mornings and evenings are really getting cold already. I feel it when I sit down now. My legs and feet… soon we need a blanket 😉😎

It was a great walk Steve. And Spain in wintertime is lovely outside. The houses do get cold… as no insulation or heating in most.

ajá, sí… los conozco. Se filma principalmente alrededor de 1 hora en coche desde aquí. Esos puertos son muy similares.😉😊
