My journey from Boston USA 🇺🇸 back to Spain 🇪🇸 over two longgg days… ✈️
Hi all 👋🏻
Some of you know I traveled to America for holidays… guess what… those 2 weeks are already gone 😳FINISHED!
It went by soooo fast, but you know, a holiday always goes fast especially when you are having fun 🤩
I want to share today our journey back from Boston in Massachusetts America 🇺🇸 via Madrid Spain 🇪🇸 to Málaga and back home.
So if you missed me being around here the last 2 weeks… you know why now. 😎
We discovered the New England region (north east America) on our 2 week holidays. Drove a lot and walked a lot… Visiting trails in forests, mountains, saw waterfalls and some hill town villages… had adventures in Boston city and we for sure explored nature and saw the leaves turn slowly for autumn 🍂 🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁
Those stories I will share with you soon, as I will have to go through my tons of photographs first after transferring them to my laptop 💻 hehehe 🤭 and edited them. As… I bought a new camera 📸 🤩🥳 yeah! Happy littlebee 🐝 here. 🥳📸
All photographs in this post were taken Friday and Saturday with my iPhone ~ 7 and 8 October 2022 😎 I will follow the time stamps for you so you have an idea of the journey time. Let me tell you… it was longgggggggg 🤓🤣 🥱😴😴
Let’s have a look at my journey from the last 2 days and what I saw:
Times of the 2 flights…
With a change in the last flight, as you can see luckily earlier as we had already a long wait for more than 5 hours in between flights. ✈️
Saturday 7 October around midday 🕛
I packed our suitcases 🧳 and after we got to the airport in Boston 🇺🇸 I see at the baggage drop off these flags above us.
Going through security and all checks I look out of the window and see no plane yet. 😊
Of course it’s not there yet… we are a bit early hehehe 🤭
So we decided to have a nice lunch in one of the restaurants at the airport in Terminal E (international flights)
I noticed all the reflections… do you see all of them? 😎
Also on the phone 📱… now you do 😉
After a while the plane lands and is getting cleaned and filled up again. It’s 15:34h here…
I see a rain cloud in the back 🌧☔️
See you in a bit 👋🏻👋🏻✈️
Walking around to stretch the legs… I see this shop with a Harley in the window 🏍
People asking questions at the desk… we still need to wait a bit longer before boarding 🤓✈️
We could board the plane at 16:54h. Looking out of the window I see:
Inside the cabin… more people entering.
And we start reversing at 17:22h ✈️
Rolling forward now…
Crossing some runways…
Turning corners…
A line of waiting planes in front of us… traffic jam 😉🤩😎
There are 10 planes in front of us for take off…
I zoomed in on the blue plane, if you look closely before that blue plane there are 4 dinky little private planes, waiting like us ✈️🛩🛩🛩🛩
We are rolling further… time 17:28h now.
Turning around the corner…
Turns out we have some time to look around for a while 😊 17:44h here.
Rolling little bit by little bit further… ✈️🛩
We are passing by some cute views. I’m zooming in for you 😎
Beautiful boats and water front houses, next to the airport.
Going around the corner to the runway for take off now…
And we are up in the air… 🛫 17:47h Friday afternoon 🤓

We pass over Fort independence.
And I see this amazing big cloud… with it’s reflection over the dark Atlantic 🤩🥰 what a view!!! Don’t you think it’s beautiful…

Flight time is 6:12 hours… rather fast. Going was longer. Time difference will be 6 hours going forward in time for me 😉🤓

Slowly we see a sunset 🌅

I watched a few movies this time… couldn’t sleep as it wasn’t time to sleep for me hehehe 🤭
Here you see we are almost arriving in Madrid 😎
Early morning now 5:15h Saturday morning Spanish time.
Still dark outside… 🌔 view out of the window… we see millions of lights…
As we turn direction, I suddenly see a beautiful and large moon 🌝 trying to capture it with a longer shutter speed and flying fast in the plane isn’t ideal… so you see some ghost moons that makes the moon blurry 😎
After landing and rolling to the terminal I could capture the moon better… do you see her ?🌝
Getting off the plane ✈️ and following connecting flights signs at 06:02h in the morning. 🥱😴😴
Passing by these artworks in Madrid airport. Of course I had to stop to take some photographs 📱📸
They are cute…
Wandering around and finding the right terminal for our next flight… in 5 hours…
We have some time to kill 😉
When I see the sunrise… I take this photograph in the area I am waiting. (Not our plane btw.)
Time for some drinks me think. So we went to Starbucks 😎😊 she got my name right this time 🥰😉 a blue berry muffin and a cappuccino couldn’t be missed. Hahaha
Look Starbucks Madrid in Terminal 4 has some paintings around… 🤩😎 I found this mural. Too bad no artist name was mentioned.
It is large and goes over the walls around the sitting area.
Around the corner… even mushrooms 🍄 look @mipiano I found some in Madrid hahaha 🤣 (but joking aside… I did find real ones in the forests of New England 🥳🥳)
Around 10:16h we walk towards the gate. Above me I see the roof again, I saw while going to Boston 2 weeks ago. Do you remember?
The monitor changes into our flight.
We didn’t have a bridge into the plane. We had to walk to this little plane ✈️ We are boarding at 11:10h
It’s not big at all…
2 seats at each side, it was full though.
Above Spain we see the dry areas again…
Closer to Málaga we fly over the famous area “Embalsa Conde de Guadalhorce” where the “Caminito Del Rey” is located… a famous walk along the mountain. 😎😉 I show you one day 🤓
A beautiful area… 🥰
As we land 🛬 we go past the terminal of Málaga airport and the tower.
We pass also this cute private plane by 🛩 beautiful in silver 😎
After stopping on the tarmac we are brought with a bus to the terminal at 12:46h
I still haven’t slept here… 🥱🥱
After getting back to the car, driving back to home…
Our views along the way… going over some toll roads…
We finally arrived home around 15:00h Saturday / Yesterday.
I managed to stay up until 2100h, than I crashed and didn’t wake up until this morning at 1100h hahaha 🤣
Guess I needed some sleep. 😴😴
Now we have to adjust a bit at the time difference…
I will catch up here. And post our adventures soon, very soon…

It’s a long old way isn’t it. I’ve never been to the USA and we were booked to visit Boston back in 2029 which of course didn’t happen in the end. We got our money back. Plan to make the trip another time.
It sure is a long old way… but love it. Traveling.
Sorry to hear that. We had Australia planned January 2020… didn’t happen and we lost half of the money. One day we will go 🤓

The new camera is an upgrade from the one that died in Cuba in 2019. The Canon… that one was 12 years old. So the new one has some new features I need to practice a bit more to get the hang out of it. But will figure it out soon. It was sure a good way to learn most of them while being on holidays. 😎🤓📸
I haven’t looked yet how many photos I took. Will do so tomorrow when I transfer them to the computer. 😊
The itinerary was brutal… long waits. But worth it and I love people watching and discovering details.

Oh I miss flying so much!! I’ve never been in London, and I believe that should be so beautiful!! And I’ve never been in Malaga neither, and that’s a city where I don’t know, but I believe I’ll love that place to live there.
I can see that it was a looong trip!! I’m a big fan of blue berry muffins from Starbucks as well, now I need one of those, lol!

Málaga is amazing, I lived in the city itself for just over 1 year and other times close by. Now we live to far to go regularly. I loved it. It is so different and truly always vibrant with energy.

Traveling far away from home is a real odyssey!
Vacations are like you say: "you have to enjoy them". The bad thing about it is that they end, they should be for several months, even a year (laughs).
The important thing is that they returned safely and there were no major setbacks other than the long waits at the airport. And as important as the enjoyment, are all the pictures that represent a "golden" material for your next articles. Good for you...!

Yep… had to properly test it hahaha 🤣 but I took about 10 photos of one object in different angles all the time. So it is easy for me to reach a high number.
My phone right now holds 14,580 photos plus 20 videos… hhhmmmm maybe I take to many. But they go back to 2014. I need to go through them and put them on a hard drive and just keep important ones.
I was doing that, but than a move etc. got in the way…

So...
Late last night they tell me the Fatter one and his Son are going to "rent a car" ($400) and drive to Austin to go to an old friend's wedding...
They all like into his beat to death Toyota and head to get the rental....
About an hour later they all come back, in the Toyota..
Long story, short - they wouldn't let him rent a small car like he planned and told him he had to rent a "pickup truck". His credit would not allow it - "unemployed and all"...
I still have "No Clue" why people want to live like this...
He ended up driving his wreck to Austin and it did make it!
😅🤣😅
I think they wanted me involved somewhere, but...
I just acted like it was, people are telling me things the last moment and I had kther plans...😉
Oh well, a funny story! Can you imagine the rental place saying you are too fat to rent a car???? 😲

Partly I think… yes we had plans and we needed to wait and still are waiting. We didn’t have to interfere much. But next to it all, i’m researching everything. To the point. So I still did a lot. I gathered knowledge how to do things in the US. And how things are etc. so I didn’t just sit back… and waited.
Also a lot of other things happened for me. Being sick, the old rental and it’s problems, the move, the holiday… so been rather busy.
And now I’m finding solutions, as you are as nothing… from the others side is happening. Do you think we are still waiting? As some things we can’t influence… but others we can. I’m fully prepared for the US.
It can happen. But still it doesn’t.
Aw well… maybe it will this week. But I know I have been saying that for a long time now. Next week… next week… hehehe 🤭
Thank you so much my friend, doing a lot this weekend. But next to all of that… looking further into plan B and C. As they completely changed now I looked more into them hahaha 🤣 but it feels better these plans I have now. Not telling yet… still putting the US out there. If needed I tell 🤓😉
Hahaha I can imagine the faces of the people from the rental car company. I guess more was at stake for them than just renting them a small car to drive up there. Maybe also because of their weights if they said it needed to be a truck. And that would not work because he had no job.

Well I will tell You, I did research prices, areas, and other things like that... But since I figured the living was taken care of, other than getting there I did not do too much... I "was" trying to just get things kinda settled here and wait... 🤔
I also think that adjusting plans "all the way around" is a good idea right now - for You both and me as well... None of us us probably going to land in the situation we thought we were going to.
Although You, (and me) have been talking about a "breakthrough" for awhile now, it also means it's more likely to come with each passing moment... At least that's how I feel, I am also as "Positive" as can be for all concerned! 👍🏼🤓👍🏼
And Yes indeed You have been "Very Busy" over the last months, that's for sure - and "Yep" that takes time too!
Oh Yeah, at the rental place they have to go by the door stickers. Like his in his car says max 702lbs. Well he is almost 600 of that. His kid is at least 160lbs, and that is without even a single other things. It exceeds the weight limit of the car and then she climbs in and that's another 240..
So, no legally they were not allowed to rent him a small car.
It is so far engrained they "do" see it as "normal" - to the point they think normal people are mean and messed up, for doing things like at the car rental... But they really had no choice, and... If I saw him drive up I would do everything I could not to rent him a car. Between how his looks, and watching him try to get out.. Naaaa....

Yes, somehow us adjusting plan B and C feels good. And I’m putting lots of thoughts into it and research. Plan b would have been Canada and c would have been Ireland. But both are off the plan now. For various reasons.
US turns out to be hard. Hubby send so many applications to US companies and all came back we don’t sponsor right now. Even if he would be perfect for the job.
Let’s see what happens this week. Hubby went very positive to work this morning. I know the US is still sleeping. But hope he gets back to us soon. We need to make decisions. Soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨🧩🧩

I decided to take a look at what's up currently with "immigration" to the US.. I found the loop hole! It's called a EB-5 Visa... This is how they do it, and why it's mostly a small store or some form of food establishment.. But it can be anything, those are just simple.
For one of these You only have to set up a business and hire a couple of Americans...

Yep… life can’t be smooth all the time. Without the hard bits we would never learn or feel like we lived or have experienced something. It is all forming us.

Just looked. There are more requirements needed. Like: You need to hire long term 10 people, and invest 1.000.000 dollars to get to a greencard.
So not sure he has that one. 🤓 it must be something else he got in on. As a bakery doesn’t require that amount of money or people working.

No it can't be as we are here to learn something - all of us.
I also watched the Robert Monroe interview where he stated you can travel to the place of no time.. But nothing happens, absolutely nothing.. So if you want to experience anything you have to leave... Funny huh..🤔
That's a funny thing... First I have been 38 before then it jumped up to 54.. And I started at 108.. Wild stuff eh? Well you know, the lady told me when I put in my paperwork - "Congratulations"! You get an apartment in 2 years...
Well it jumped to 38 in a few months, so I thought it would be much faster.. Then COVID and all.. Now I think they are just making "good" on the promise of it taking 2 years...
About going up early....
Well, ya know - it is getting cold, and for me I would rather sit out a milder winter and leave than try and go now...
It would be easier if it's not cold, for me as I can expect and do not expect any help from the "talking heads". So I have to figure how to do this by myself - and that would be more convenient... Yeah I should leave here "ASAP ", but I am going to see....👀

Strange that there was a jump in the numbers and went up again and down. Maybe urgent cases got in between. Maybe you should ring up and say the situation at you place is not tolerable. Maybe it gets you bumped up a bit more. Hope they do catch up…
I know covid backlogged many things. All visas everywhere too in most countries. Even doctors appointments and operations are still in backlogs in many countries.

Thanks what I thought. But I know visa rules did change a lot in the last years. I found out today that 2 years ago visas to the uk were cut out of the list. The pensioner visa and the investor visa is cut off. So nobody can come in on them in the UK.
Lots of countries changed rules…

Oh yes… I heard those stories too. They can still get work in places as they all will work hard. Good for them.

Well the problem with that is that I still have to be there. I am sure the Veterans center "there" may help -but not from Texas. I get referred back to "here". Basically Texas Veterans Association is "0" help. Just a bunch of people trying to keep high paying do nothing jobs.. I have talked to them a few times and have gone to the local office as well.
It's the place where You go in and tell them what you need and they look at you blank faced and ask, so ah... what do you want me to do? 😲

I’m looking into options as we speak. It could take up to 24 weeks 😳

I don’t know where the switch in intelligence came from. But I see such a different level being around.
Like they didn’t get the basics right. It is strange and sad. Hope it changes back… or at least to something better than what is around.
I know, just ridiculous. Before Brexit I just could move there as it was EU. Now I am treated like a third country national. The things they need to know and what they want us to prove are just ridiculous.
But looking into it further.
Ireland is the only EU one we could just move to, with no problem. UK: England, Scotland and wales… or a different story. Long visa process… and back logs that make it worse. People saying they are waiting behind 6 months. And some are getting denied as they want to stop immigration. 😳
So yes, more complications hehehe 🤭

The quick answer - "Shitty Parents". They decided that instead of teaching children how to think and interact in society, it's more important to tech them to believe what I believe - they can do it any style they choose. That anyways is the big problem here... And "Home Schooling" "DOES NOT HELP"! Here, parents even know they are doing it - just the children have no idea... Look at the one here.. He is being "So Messed Up" by his dad. There is "No Way" he will be a normal adult human, and then he may have children too... That's why I am seeing a big divide... Because some do get you "cannot" do this. Here I am living with "morons".. At the same time... My nieces son is in College, and has been since 12 - "they discovered the genius gene does run in my family".. But not the point, the point is in one they let him run Totally Wild + to the point he cannot attend school. In the other, they have "Stressed" doing something with Yourself.. Now from these people's perspective here, it is OK to raise morons. 😳
BTW.. Honestly something I should have thought about, but since I give everybody a chance... "NONE" of these people graduated High School, and they are making sure that this guy won't either. He is too stupid to get it, he even thinks he's smart!
Yeah that stuff is ridiculous! Crazy even! It should be easier to move around in the EU. If not, then it exists not for citizens but for governments - never a good sign...
You know I kinda thought that. And then I would get there as quickly as possible before they change as well. Though Ireland will probably stay the same for awhile. Actually, after reading a bit, it seems like a better choice than I would have thought. Even I could go there! That's wide open!

I do understand what you say and that is part of the problem.
Fully… it is truly sad. Luckily it is not that common here in Europe, home schooling. Some are doing a good job and do follow a curriculum. But most don’t. And by hearing about them. Definitely don’t do anything.
Also the people in customer service, just to take an example, they are thought click, copy and paste.
They won’t respond an email or question via phone in the “normal” way. A computer does the work. It picks up some keywords in the question and shows them a copy paste answer.
So they don’t learn to think for themselves… and don’t reply to questions. Don’t even think asking 2 or more in one message hahaha 🤣
Luckily we won’t change and can spread some “love” and positivity around.
The EU is still fine for me, just hubby it is more complicated into the EU. Especially now the UK left the EU… what makes that area hard for me. And EU hard for hubby… Even when we are married UK / EU.
We will figure something out. Maybe it is a 2 step move… first out of Spain, than do the whole Visa thing and move again… we are figuring that out in the next weeks. As we want to decide THIS month.
Ireland isn’t that bad indeed. And does have pensioner visas, you just have to have a certain amount per year to support yourself.
I can move yesterday to it. As it is EU. And because it still has a treaty with the UK hubby can as well. So this is the only fast option we have if needed.
Every other country ( UK, US, EU…) requires visas either both or just for hubby or for me… what takes half a year and more. 🤓

First, they are lucky enough to have a School that has the most resources and area I have ever seen for a public school. With the best of everything - and rated the best (one day soon I will take a picture of something there) and You want to home school your children.. Because...🤔
Here what happens is what I am watching.. A 12 year old who feels he's grown. He doesn't need to learn more than what he already knows... And... The school would tell him "something is wrong at home".. Can't have that!
And that is "most" of it here.. Either socially handicapped kids, or parents that don't want their kids taught any knowledge that may contradict what they know...😲
Oh yeah, the 600lb man has "No" abilities! He cannot think beyond "I want", which is why he works as a cooks assistant.. Oh yeah,.he begged his old job and go back 16-18 hrs a week!

Indeed other countries are different luckily in the home schooling department and parents and kids do get checked how they progress.
But where you are… omg it sounds terrible.
So sad that parents do that to their children. Wouldn’t they want the best for them. For their future. But seems they think it is ok not to raise their son. Unbelievable… truly.

That’s what we thought… if all goes wrong job wise and hubby ends up redundant we do just that. Jump to Ireland. Reading up on it. But there is a but… they are experiencing a housing crisis and homelessness. So getting a rental seems so hard. Luckily we know some locals. Maybe they can help out with finding housing if needed.
But I am also still looking into Scotland. We will see this month. Big decisions coming right up 😉🤓😎
Uk, England isn’t really something I would go to. Scotland I would… don’t know why. But I know the people are friendlier and more open minded. The same with Ireland. England itself not so.
Hubby just messaged, the internal role (with the new company) is in another department he knows which one now. And the person that has the role under him and is looking for candidates… has scheduled a meeting in next Wednesday with hubby. (Interview kind of thing but internal) The role is more senior too. Soooo 🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀🍀 no idea of location they want him in for that one yet. We will know more next week. The person hubby reported to from the old company switched to that department too, and he would work closely with her. So something familiar there for him.

Yeah, Crazy! First, you are not taking care of "anything" with that. And yeah, You are supposed to do better than that, not only for you - but also for your child. The idea of, "well that's all I can do, the rest is up to mom, your mom, grandmom", that is very bad. But that's what it is...
There is another component that I have not mentioned...
And why he "ran" to my old workplace - but not job as soon as I was gone.. Also the secondary (?) reason his mother spent around $10,000.00 + on a bathroom...
He cannot wipe his ass, too fat.. So if he has to go to the bathroom he comes home as this place is 3 blocks away...
And besides the old bathroom was destroyed (by him and his kid)... His mom had a "bidet" installed...
There is a lot of "Bizarre" things about these people that if your not one of them you wouldn't think of... 👀

But last night we decided we go for the harder route for a few reasons.

And the potential jobs that appeared yesterday can be done from there, not Ireland.
He got another reply from a recruiter yesterday for a role he talks further about today. So 2 potential jobs… (one would be a continuation of his current role) let’s see where they go and if he can get through the stages of interview. The recruiter called him out of the blue.

It is better in many ways if it goes towards Scotland. And because it is against England and part of the UK, job opportunities are endless… so much better. Also Ireland doesn’t have much forests left, only 11% on the land is forest. We need a bit more than that around us I think.

And hubby got now 3 job opportunities he is talking to and will have meetings this week.
1 old company role, but the location for that is questionable. And how long it will exist further now with the take over.
Than 1 in the new company that took over… also not sure where they want hubby to live, this one has no relocation in it we already know.
The recruiter one sounds the best. I thought it was a recruitment agency, but this was a recruiter from a company that would like to hire him. So he talked to him yesterday, will get relocation and everything. The director wants to talk this week with hubby and will decide than. It is UK based, remote.
I have a feeling they really want hubby to work for them 🤞🏻🍀✨🤞🏻🍀✨ so let’s send some positivity towards that. It all sounded really positive already 😊

I’m an introvert so I avoid being in the spotlights, even than. Hahaha for me it takes a long while to really get friends. Or even to be able to start a conversation with someone, in person. It is just hard. But once I know them longer and better, it is easier for me.
Let’s see if the pattern will be the same. Would be cool if it did. But that is unlikely… but nowadays I’m not surprised from anything as maybe it just might 😉🤓 fingers crossed…

Hubby is getting properly stressed at the moment. Have to talk to him tomorrow… even though I arrange everything so far and plan every thing so he has no worries etc. he is getting stressed. But I can imagine… he has been waiting for something to come through for over 1 year now. Believed their stories… And still nothing happened.
Only now, when I pulled on the break and gave ultimatums for the company that we need to know this month. Something happened. I understand his stress and wanting to keep a job.
But like we already suspected in the last few weeks. The new company is cutting much more departments. They said yesterday that everybody in Gibraltar, all jobs there will be gone by the end of the year 😳
So I really hope… this week he gets 2 offers. So he can chose and we will move with him having a job.
What ever happens, with or without job… we are going to move next month. 🤞🏻🤞🏻✨✨🍀🍀

So the 600lber comes homes from his "piece of a job".. He drives up to the gate and starts blowing the horn.. Me and his mom happened to be outside... So she says, "is he for real"? He wants someone to open the gate for him? So we both stand there and in"slow motion" she goes and gets her cane to go and open the gate....He is still in his car getting madder by the second... So I tell her, if I was you I would not do that.. She stops and says.. Your right.. I am going to the bathroom.. He is still out in the Street.. Finally I gave in and opened the gate and closed it as he was getting a bit angry...
They think and especially him, that it is "horrible" to embarrass him getting in and out of his car like that.. Actually he can "barely" do it these days and it is very close to game over...
You know, that is freaky - honestly. The arms are different but the lens shape, and the whole front are the same. Very "weird" on a few levels really...

Two are saved (so far, I'll get back to that), one is missing? And he already killed one a day or so ago...
So I get them in a Safe place.. She says some "bla bla crap" and walks in inside! Leaves the dog outside, says (like always) she can't get him in... So I get stuck outside guarding the kittens from her dog, she let out..
She went in to watch TV...😲

And I do believe this too. But something did happen.
So after the last meeting yesterday, that was for the internal role in the company that took over. It went like this.
Oh, sorry… the new company has not signed off on the role, so we can’t offer it to you. Maybe… maybe in the further it will be available. (This was the role hubby liked the most as he had to report to the woman he worked with for the last 2 years… and she switched already in her new role) soooo they held up for a few weeks a carrot… presented a role that didn’t exist. So they tried… we have maybe 🤔 another option. Another role, but actually we have almost given it to somebody else, we can’t tell you who (as that person works in the same office and department than hubby and those roles don’t exist anymore, because we were on holidays the other colleagues could pick first) but if you are interested we could maybe think about it… 😳

Really… so they made the decision for hubby. His role doesn’t exist anymore since we came back from our US holidays, he was, and still is not doing anything… as has no role. So they have nothing else.
It will be redundancy now. Hubby has to set that wheel in motion today.
What a shame…
But we have still the external role. And that person knows hubby has a 3 months notice period anyway.
The informal meeting yesterday for that one, with a woman he has to work with closely, hubby thought went really well. So we hope today or tomorrow to hear if they offer or not. 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🍀🍀🍀
Let’s hope they do. As the role would be perfect, and this one included relocation package too… and means hubby can be off until February 😁🤞🏻🍀✨ so for us best to settle in, move and find rental.

Yeah, I will find out soon.. They have been made and are on the way.. Same crazieness..😲 Had to pay in British Pounds, so had to convert cash, paid a place in London, and they are coming from China - all the same, even same factory in China.. So all those variables are covered!

Nope, we smile and wave… let it all pass quickly and be done with it. Better not let it absorb us to much. Hubby got the letter… Monday is the “talk” and all is final, his 60 days go in and all is over after. (It’s all part of the legal stuff here in Europe, it takes much longer than the US) He will try to get garden leave though. As you know, he isn’t “working” as the role doesn’t exist so there is nothing to do for him for those 60 days. Why would they let him stay and do nothing for 60 more days. Let’s hope they agree… what means hubby would be free for 60 days. And we can concentrate on the move, settling in. Finding rental, car, furniture etc etc.

The Castle of Good Hope is part of the history of South Africa as you can see on Wikipedia. You can also see the resemblance when you look at this model of the Castle of Good Hope.

I've been without electricity since yesterday afternoon...
First, it was some fault at a transformer, and then last night, apparently, there was an
explosion at some substation. We actually saw the flashing at about 20h00 pm last night and we thought it was part of a storm we were experiencing. Even one of our fences got blown over...
This morning we see all the posts and photos on social media...it was actually part of the explosion...I would say about 15 to 20 KM away from us...
Still no electricity this morning. So. I'm working from my oldest daughter's place at the moment. They are luckily one of the few places whose electricity has been restored yet...
Will head back to our place soon to see what is happening there.

You can start using lol or lolz when you have 16 lol tokens that gives you one call, 128 gives you 4 calls a day.

You need 1000 tokens staked. I am using the #aliveandthriving tag ad I take part in the weekly staking contest. By doing that you build up to a thousand tokens quite fast.

Yes, I use the #AliveAndThriving tag on all my posts. They also have two other projects, the #IAmAlive and #LukeIsAlive, but I am not really into those.

show a picture thing...? I'm not exactly sure about the "picture thing"...? I know we share an image of our staked opening balance to enter the next week's contest...but that's the only "picture" I know of...
Other than that I just post my normal posts and add the #AliveAndThriving tag to each post. Then I stake the Alive tokens I earn from my posts and also the tokens I earn from the contest.

Yes, a screenshot of your staked opening balance for the week... Then by the end of the week, you receive tokens based on the growth that took place in your staked balance over that week. It's nice to see your balance growing while you do what you are normally doing...
I also have much to learn. I think you still have a bit of an advantage... I'm still coming from the old-school era...we grew up in a time when there weren't even any computers...
I sometimes say I am still "technologically disabled"...lol!
Yes, I'll give the lol tokens some time until this HF thing is over (or at least when we can see things are getting back to normal...). As if I am not slow enough, I sometimes battle to get things open and working...

Just caught up to this post! I fly out of Boston Logan all the time for work and for fun!
That pink line I drew, is the same direction as the runway you used (15R 33L) it points from Logan airport to my place! The red arrow shows my place in Truro, on Cape Cod. After you took off, you turned and flew off towards Europe, in the Yellow Arrow Direction!
If you and the family ever come to Boston again, you have to let me know, I'll make sure to show you around some of our Local Sights!

We were on an exploratory trip, as our company wanted to relocate us to the US. We were checking out what area would fit us. Now due to take over of another company, the country they want us in is changing. So we have to switch our plans 180 degrees hehehe 🤭 But it is still ok, we found a country that works for us and the company. Will share about it later when the plans are solid 🤓
Hope we move next month. And we finally have a garden again. So I can start veggies and fruits etc.
