MOVING/ ROADTRIP to a new COUNTRY 🧳 📦 🚗 Part 6 ~ What’s next, after we reached Göteborg Sweden 🇸🇪

Hi all 👋🏻

I know… I know…. this update is longggg overdue 😇 I am still struggling to get a good internet connection for the last 4 weeks. I am sure you noticed. So had to get creative… as I can’t just pop out to a shop/ restaurant or library as they are far away and I didn’t just want to write a next post with only 4 photos. (It’s not my style hahaha) I needed more photos to tell the story / THIS PART OF MY JOURNEY. I did reduce the amount of photos I wanted to share by half 😋
So you have to be patient a little longer to see the whole journey 😊 it is in progress 🤓

We are so remote here the first city is 1 hour drive. Of course I have put up Starlink again, but it is obstructed by the forest behind the house. Also there are not many satellites 🛰️ Starlink can connect to in this country. It seems to have only 2 it can connect to… and guess what… I am right in the middle of them hahahaha… 🤣😂 so I have the least reach.
Elon is getting more satellites 🛰️ into the orbit though… so lets hope it improves 🤞🏻🤓

At this moment I cant get it higher up either due to the weather ☃️ to rule out the obstructions and being on the side, half way up a mountain 🏔️ but hopefully soon…. 🤞🏻🍀 when SPRING starts 🌸🌼🌷and the snow ❄️ meltsssssss 😉

Shall we see where we ended up after we arrived with the ferry 🚢 in Gothenburg Sweden 🇸🇪

So here it is: PART 6 from 11. What is a part of our longgggg journey to our new home 🏡 and country 🗺️
Where we will be “driving” ourselves to our new COUNTRY 😊 of residence. Some parts will include some subtle hints, via text or photo 😅😉 so pay attention and see if you can guess what our destination will be!

The Photographs in this post are all taken with my iPhone by me 📱🤓

Lets start where we ended in my last post. We are in the car 🚘 driving slowly out of the port of Gothenburg.

We see the long bridge much better now.

Finally we made it out of the port and are driving towards the motorway 🛣️

Going through a very long tunnel what skips out most of the city 😁

We see some very colourful buildings 😊

The roadsigns are digital here and it makes taking a photo of them rather hard.

We are following the sign with road 40 🤓 to get out of Gothenburg. The other logical road we wanted to take has roadworks 🚧 and traffic jams, so we are diverting from our route a lot.

Exit ahead 😎 back to the city direction.

We pass by the first photo (thumbnail) and next we see this colourful facade 🌈

If you are curious… we are driving in the direction of Stockholm… towards our next stay for the night.

Passing by some forests 🌳🌲🌳🌲

I see in the distance a cool #mural / #streetart work and I did capture it driving by, I will share it in my next streetart post 😎 so stay tuned 😉 here you see a little teaser 😇

… but of course we don’t stay on the motorway. I love to drive inland routes. As you know. One sees so much more 😁 so we go inland now 😎

Driving through cute little villages.

Up and down the hills…

Next to lakes and rivers 😊

Seeing churches in the distance.

Capturing them when driving by.

The river is high here and we see a bridge over it with a waterfall underneath.

Driving by typical Swedish villas and farms. In Sweden we find fully wooden houses 🏡 as mostly in the Nordics.

Beautiful green pastures.

We are still inland.

One of my favourite photos from today 🥰 the landscape here is so diverse in southern Sweden 🇸🇪

Passing by more villages and churches. The red poles along the road is to see where the road (edges) is when the snow comes so high… it will almost burry the red poles. A guide where to drive 🚘

I see some old bridges, the water is still flowing freely.

What do I see here 😳 NICE…. 😎

I sooo love classic muscle cars, as you might know 😇 it’s pretty cool to see them in Sweden. Hope to see many more along our journey… and I think… I will 😉 Ok ok… spoiler alert 🚨 hahaha 😜 I have seen many up until now. 🥰

As we drive further we see snow on the mountain in the distance. Looks like a sky slope ⛷️🏂🎿

A large water tower along the road…

More little villages with farms and a church.

Örebro Län - what means we are entering the county of Örebro.

Soon we won’t be following Stockholm anymore, as that is to far to the right 😁

We are back on a main road now… and making a lot of km’s.

The further we drive, we see more ice… like this lake. The surface is almost fully frozen. 🥶

Again I spot something cool 😎

Part of a classic car against the wall as an art installation 😊 (no this is not the “more classic cars” I was referring to, I will show you in upcoming posts)

And we drive further… our journey is long each day 😎 but we love it.

More swedish red farms.

The colours are so nice in this next photo. The red… the metal and the greens against the bright blue sky. What do you think?

I see a large factory 🏭 and it appears to me very colourful 🌈

I can’t capture it fully but i did my best 😂

Nice to see something so ugly being transformed with some art 🌈

Finally we reached Örebro and are almost at our stay for 1 night…

Driving towards the AirBnB… we stay only one night and start driving early in the morning again 😊

So let’s look at how far we have driven in this part.
The meter says now : 128.555 km, we stopped at 128.220 km when we parked on the Ferry 🚢 in Kiel Germany 🇩🇪

What means we have driven 335 km along the road🚗
Plus 14 hours of ferry crossing (Kiel - Gothenburg) what is about 420 km.
Adding the last total we get : 3,117 km in 8 days of traveling 😉

The route (ish) we took, see the darker blue one as we had roadworks on the other main one and even so… we always divert slightly off route as we adjust to road conditions and want to drive inland routes too… 😁
