“Market Friday” ~ When I visited VAN GOGH - The immersive experience in the UK 🇬🇧

avatar

Hi all 👋🏻

For my next post in our lovely community this Friday for the #MarketFriday by @dswigle - Denise. I will show you my visit to VAN GOGH the immersive experience in a church in Leicester on 8 April 2022. 😎

‼️If you want to know more about #MarketFriday’s have a look at this post about it: Burnside Farms Flowers of the Sun: Market Friday from @dswigle you find also the rules what to post if you want to join us.

More information about this 360 degrees immersive experience you find on their website : Van Gogh expo!
It tells you also in what cities they will be, it is all over the world 🗺 😎😊

The website states:
”Have you ever dreamt of stepping into a painting? Now you can with this exhibition that has been touring since 2017 with +5,000,000 visitors!”

CHECK IT OUT IF YOU HAVEN’T HEARD ABOUT THIS YET!

These photographs are taken with my iPhone 📱😎🤓

We walk to the church:

The church yard.

Beautiful #daffodils greeting us as it is #spring when I visited the UK 🇬🇧

Very old graves… they are fascinating 😎

One of the church entrances… see the little statues above the clock 🕰

Beautiful door 🚪

Across the road we see :

Let’s have a look at some impressions from this experience now, after we enter 😊

Self portraits of Vincent Van Gogh

They rebuilt his famous painting from the bedroom, you can walk in it.

In another area… a screen shows his famous works of flowers in a vase, the flowers, colours and background change all the time. You can sit on benches to see the entire loop.

The vase is 3D

Next we walk to the main area… where Vincent Van Gogh’s paintings are displayed all around us. All walls and ground. You can go and sit on the chairs, benches or pillows on the floor.

The immersive experience begins… 😎

You hear about the life of Vincent and see his artworks all around, move… 🤩

It is like his paintings are #alive and everything moves… like the ship goes by, people move around, the #clouds… everything.

I didn’t take many photos as I wanted to experience it all. Of course… 🤓😉
The last photo I show you was in front of me on the floor, Vincent’s famous #sunflowers 🌻

It was amazing to experience it like this… 😎

#alwaysaflower

With this last photo of some flowers outside of the church again… I want to say: that’s all for today’s #MarketFriday post. Hope you enjoyed coming along and got curious about this experience. I recommend visiting it if you haven’t yet 😉
Until the next one! 👋🏻😎 are you joining me again soon? 😉💃🏻

Thank you for looking and reading 😊 🙏🏻
Any questions or comments, let me know. Always happy to help.

Have a great Friday all 😎

This type of experiences are amazing. My favorite picture is the starred night one, but the flower jar changing is so original, too.

What an amazing experience, Jackie! @littlebee4 Interactive arts are a rare experience, but, one you will never forget! The entire experience borders on his understated way of living, quaint church, cemetery... but the beauty is in the world you create when you step in.

Van Gogh's masterpieces set to music? How could any art lover not be thrilled to see it? It is an hour well spent on any day of the year. I like going to the museums, but, to be able to walk through the exhibit instead of looking from afar? Yes, please!

The

The light show is such an incredible experience and you are right! The show was to be enjoyed! This is one of those moments that you can just leave your camera home although bring your phone! :) Thank you for sharing this wonderful post with us and your pictures came out splendidly! It is still playing here in Washington, DC as it has been since last September, and yet, it is still hard to get tickets some days. Exhibition Hub used a combination of dozens of projectors, and 15,000-square-foot screens (and other things I am sure) to create this unique experience. Magic! Thank you for supporting the challenge!

Thank you for participating in #MarketFriday! I appreciate the time and effort that goes into putting a post together for the challenge. It is with great pleasure that I read through and realize how much we have all tried to include things in our world that may be unique to the area. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for them. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing. I hope the week has found you healthy and happy, as we all look to prosper in our way of life.

Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it?

Rules of the Road to Join #MarketFriday!

Go to the market, or anywhere that you pay money for a service. Museum, art gallery, bowling, barber shop, or hairdresser. Cultural event. You are allowed to think outside the box!
Take pictures! Be creative!
Tell us a little bit about the market or the event. Where is it? What brought you there? What did you buy? How much did it cost? Was it expensive? Did it go up or down? I don't need 50 pictures unless you are willing to explain them all.
Post the pictures. Of course, you should tell a little bit about the ones you post. What seems obvious to you may not be obvious to all.
Use the MarketFriday Community Platform to post (#hive-196308) This is not required but appreciated.
PLEASE Drop the link into the MarketFriday comment section so I can find it!!
Following me and reblogging the post would be appreciated, but not a rule, more vision for more views on the #MarketFriday posts!
You must put #MarketFriday by @dswigle somewhere on your post. Please. Please.
Please check out some of the other #MarketFriday posts!

As always, please remember! #MarketFriday loves you!

I know… nothing can beat an experience like this… surrounded truly by the art and music and listening to the life of Vincent Van Gogh… yep, an experience you can not easily forget. 🤩
It was amazing, especially as I know most of his paintings, the ones used for sure.

It is still playing in many countries, and yes, hard to get sometimes tickets to get inside. It is just so unique.
And the fun part, every place that shows this experience… the rooms are different and it will give you different experiences. So you could visit it in different places 😉😊

Happy to share this with all, and I was happy the photos did come out ok, as it is hard to capture moving pictures on such large walls. 😎😊

It is truly magic Denise ✨🥰
I love museums too, this is a level up 🤩
Thank you for visiting @dswigle enjoy your day further 👋🏻☀️💃🏻

I got chills @littlebee4 even just by reading this! What more if I was to experience this in person?! Vincent Van Gogh had an extraordinary mind and perception of life and it translates in his paintings. That was an out-of-this world experience! Wish we have this here too.

Thank you so much @indayclara 😊 that is truly beautiful to read.
It was an amazing experience, I won’t forget easily.
This experience travels the world for years now, is none of them close to you? I don’t know your location…
His mind was extraordinary and he saw things others didn’t. It is wonderful to see he incorporated into his paintings. Remarkable to see.
Have a wonderful weekend 👋🏻☀️
