“Market Friday” ~ my BIRTHDAY dinner while moving 📦 and a view of the new garden 🌳🌴🌺

Hi all 👋🏻

For my next post in our lovely community this Friday for the #MarketFriday by @dswigle - Denise.
I will show you some highlights of a walk around our new area and when we went out for my BIRTHDAY DINNER last Tuesday. I will also include a sneak peak into the garden this morning from the new (temporarily) rental.

These photographs are all taken with my #iPhone last Tuesday 6 September and this morning 9 September 2022 📱😎🤓

As some of you know, I have been packing boxes 📦 most of August to get ready for our move last Monday. Luckily I finished in time 😊 and 90 boxes later the move went smoothly 😃
We still had a busy Tuesday as keys needed to be returned in the morning, and some paperwork needed to be done at the town hall… with a grocery shop 🛒 finishing the afternoon.
Further, we made a start with unpacking, yep again boxes 📦 😉 and organising furniture in the house.
Even though it was my BIRTHDAY Tuesday it was busy busy buzzy…🐝🐝 I celebrated it with going out for dinner 🍽

I know some of you are curious to see the insides of the new rental house 😎 but I soooo needed a break/ rest first yesterday and today. You know you need to listen to your body if it tells you, “you are exhausted” 🥱
What basically means I am still sitting between boxes now hahaha 🤣
I promise I will give you a glimpse, in due course, of the inside 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 Today I will show you the garden instead 🌳🌴🌺🪴 hope you enjoy it.

So let’s start Tuesday 6 September 😊🎉💃🏻
In the evening we started walking to the restaurant…

It was 19:35h and we crossed some fields to make some short cuts, as we knew it was still a rather long walk to the restaurant 😎

We see cork trees and other trees, if you look closely, you see they harvested the bark - the cork at the bottom of the trees.

Walking the streets that are unfamiliar to us, as we haven’t been in this area before… let alone by foot.

Palm tree lined streets we wander through… 🌴🌴🌴🌴

Do you see the sea in the distance? That’s the Mediterranean Sea 🌊

It becomes more hilly… we didn’t expect that. Hahaha 🤣 time is added to our walk this evening. 😉

We pass by some amazing houses and wonder who would live there. 😊

Some houses are hidden behind walls and lots of plants and flowers 🌸 such a pretty sight 🌺🌴🌳🥰

Also some pretty modern houses we walk by.

Further along I see some empty buildings 😎🤓 yay… they will make for some cool exploration posts soon 😁

This tree stood out to me for it’s beautiful colours and bark.

After rather a long walk… 😎💃🏻 (What we didn’t expect as we thought it was closer by)
We reach finally the restaurant.
If you remember my #WednesdayWalk Post from not that long ago… it is the same Italian restaurant.

And guess what, I took (as promised) this time photographs of the food… what I forgot last time 😉🤓 as you know, sometimes the moment just asks to enjoy it… 🥰

Some delicious dishes are being served here with love ❤️

I ordered a sweet rosé 🍷 it is now already 20:20h in the evening 😊

We get some warm bread with butter and some nibbles on the side.

I take some impressions from the area around us.

I ordered the : LINGUINE ALLE VONGOLE ~ Linguine with clams, white wine, garlic and chillies.

Hubby got the: SALTIMBOCCA ALLA ROMANA ~ Veal with Parma ham and sage.

And this can’t be a BIRTHDAY DINNER without a DESSERT 🍮 😉🥰

It was a lovely list to choose from.

As this is authentic Italian, I thought let’s go authentic 😎

(I almost forgot to take a photo… as you can see, we tucked in already hehehe 🤭)

My dessert: TIRAMISU

It truly was delicious 😋 all of it!

A view around the restaurant now it is already later and the sun is going down. (these tables belong to a bar that wasn’t open)

Behind me, the Italian is bustling 😊

We leave about 22:00h, a view from above.

The walk home was truly dark and the moon 🌙 accompanied us.

Let me show you now the garden from this morning 😊🌳🌴🌸🐝☀️

Early morning visitors come… in the form of sparrows and a blackbird couple. They tap the grass and pull out worms 🪱 so far each morning the same 🥰 truly beautiful to watch. (This was taken through the glass, I will try to capture better photos in the coming days)

In the far end of the garden there is a lemon 🍋 tree 🌳

They are not ripe yet but getting truly big I saw.

Some little plants and flowers along the back. Love this colour 🌸🌸🌸

There is this tree, not sure what it is at this moment, but I will keep an eye on the flowers.

Looking at the house from the back… 🏡

Next to me a tall tree… beautiful big leaves. 🌳

Wider view at all the tall trees… I see when sitting in the living room and garden terrace. 🌳🌳🌳

A few more pots with succulents. These are from the owner of the house btw. My plants are all inside 🥰🪴🪴🪴

View from a corner of the terrace. It’s nice to have some green around, after the last rentals have been apartments with no garden. 🥰

When I open the door I smell the scent of Jasmine right away 😊 do you see it?

Some lovely red and orange colours ❤️🧡💛

They so brighten up one’s day 🥰 as #alwaysaflower is needed…
