Hi all 👋🏻

A little while ago I visited my favourite TEA HOUSE in the historical centre of Málaga. Just before our move out of Spain 🇪🇸
Let me show you what I had that day 😊 and tell you a little bit more about this cute place.

I will follow the time stamps on them. So it looks like you are experiencing my adventures with me, to 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 #discover everything what I saw, like the little #details seen through my eyes of this cute #teahouse, #teashop, #restaurant, and a little bit of the small #streets around it in #Malaga city. 😊

As I was walking through the streets of Málaga towards the tea shop for an afternoon tea ☕️ and cake 🍰 we see some beautiful surrounding views.

Marble on the floor and large windows looking over you.

We find the cathedral on the right now. It is very close to the tea house.

Looking over towards the left.

On the following screenshot from Google maps, you see that the tea house “LA TETERIA” is in the middle of some mayor sights you should visit while traveling to this city.

So why don’t you check it out one day 😉 the tea house does exist a long time already and was my go to when I lived in the city myself.

Let’s walk a bit further… 😊
Once we reach the street the tea house is located on, Calle San Agustín, we see the Church of St. Augustine. This is actual the view when you sit on their outside terrace.

It does pop out with its colours next to the beige colours of the other buildings.

Just before I enter to go inside I look to the right and see:

When I sit down at a cute small table… I see these very colourful #lamp shades 🥰 they are nice and bring something special to the #interior.

The menu’s… yes they also do some sweet food and lots of delicious cakes 🍰 🥰

Our tea’s ☕️
This was a brownie tea, yes with white and black chocolate taste 😋

Mine… was with mint 🙂

The tea pot was cute too… all are different here.

Some cakes… yep, couldn’t do without it that afternoon 😋

Both vegan

We always tend to share… half ~ half… that way we can both taste different delicious deserts 😉

Malaga city is one of my most favourite places around. So much history there and so much to see.
I was lucky I could live just over a year there. I even miss it occasionally 😉

Caaaaaaaaake, I look forward to eating cake again. We’ve been dieting recently, a necessary evil! Looks like a gorgeous place to spend time and yes sometimes we share the cake but my wife isn’t a sweet tooth like me. Many years ago on holiday in Italy we stayed half-board and I had two desserts every evening. It was awful! 😝😂

Oh my… I can imagine you are craving it then.
Malaga is such a lovely place and this tea house the same. I could visit any time of the day for a tea… a break from the hustle and bustle even though it was in the centre.

More cake for you when she isn’t a sweet tooth hahaha 🤣
And having two pieces in Italy… oh so awful hehehe 🤭 !LOL

Maybe I will visit this place too one day. I am planning to return from Hungary to Spain in the near future. Is this tea house expensive? How much is their tea and their cake (on average)?

It isn’t really expensive… these are the local small places. Don’t think we spend 10 euros, if… it wasn’t much more for 2 cake and teas.

That is really not that expensive. I bought three kinds of ice creams, and an Oreo cake in the previous week in the Édes Titok Cukrászda (Sweet Secret Cake Shop) in Szolnok, Hungary for 2210 Hungarian Forint (HUF), which is currently €5.96 EUR, because €1 EUR is currently 370.63 Hungarian Forint (HUF).

I like the Tea House, very cool, lovely atmosphere with nice colour settings. No doubt I like the concept of the lamp.

Its a yes for me as a place to visit, it is set up for having a good time there.

It is such a cute place, I always went there when I lived in the city for over a year. Any time a day. Mostly outside on the terrace… watching people go by and the world.

Yes, it is 18:08 over here, with heavy rain flooding the place.

It has been a day indoors and in slightly warm clothes. My niece left because she had an appointment today, she has been a great company.

She did hey such a sweet lady, she's been cooking and doing my laundry, cleaning the place. Can't wait to spoil her when I start working, she working her way to becoming my favorite niece 😃

I know Jackie, I didn't realize I miss them so much, I am only realizing now, if they visit even my sisters and leave, I feel sad like I want them around me more. While in SA I was acting macho like I didn't miss them much.

Good you do realise it now Joe. As family… even if we act up and pretend we don’t need them… is important.

I notice it now so much, not having a family. Yes, friends are there. But it doesn’t help, me moving around countries. I don’t see them more than once a year as we are far apart… mostly countries hehehe 🤭
Let’s hope I settle here and can find new friends. As it is hard nowadays… especially after covid. People stay more at home than ever. Don’t connect that easily.

It was a lovely time. When I lived in the city for over a year, this was my go to place.
They have so many different teas to try.

The architecture is brilliant in Malaga city. So diverse and it all stands out so much.

Hahaha all for you it is 🤣😂😁

You know what, I do miss Málaga city. Even when I lived in other places in Spain.
I don’t miss the humidity and hot summers and too cold winters.
But… one get used to their surroundings.
Still settling in. I do love the green here and fresh air.
Hubby is gone since May, so being alone here is different too. But mid July he will move to Ireland. So… soon 😊

Hot summers and humidity that we have on the coast, I know... I was in Madrid for two days and came home 3-4 hours ago. What a difference, I mean it was 33 grades there and I was out for the whole day, it was exhausting but bearable. The humidity when I arrived at Alicante was noticeable though.

The green and fresh air - sounds excellent and refreshing 😇

Oh, yes… inland is so different than along the coast.
Even when I lived inland on Iznájar, Cordoba it was different. Much dryer… you can do much more even if it is hotter.
Here it is 18 to 21 degrees… nice and fresh. I am still wearing sweaters hehe 😜
Next days rain is predicted, but that gives the greens 💚

Yikes, I voted on the cross post first!

I love tea houses, but, especially ones that make it a true experience. There is something special about the ritual that goes with it. Cute little teapot! Indeed, I am a snob when it come to drinking it. I have had a cuppa on the fun, but, that seems blasphemous to me. I want to sit, let my brain meander through my thoughts, pour, sip, and enjoy.

Le sigh.

Let's not even talk about enjoying the sweets that go with it! I am a share(r.) It makes good sense to know if you want one of both on a return trip. Which one did you like best? I wanted to ask about the tea. Is there a tea you prefer in the afternoon, or is it strictly a mood thing for you?

The first shot hooked me! I am a wanderer and I love that you make it an event to get to your destination! That makes it fun, for sure! You share some of the most beautiful architecture around. Thank you. Going with you is always an adventure~

#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers' markets, and eventually branched out and evolved over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, and even your language/languages that separate us... Along with the fact that these things are normal for us. There are unwritten rules that rule our social behaviors. I see this as allowing for increased tolerance between cultures and nations, and opportunities to come together on an even playing ground. A strong culture can be beneficial to a country as it promotes unity, especially during a crisis, peaceful debate, and open dialogue. I have learned so much about all of you and it has been an amazing experience. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world.

In the morning up until 1300h I’m a coffee/ cappuccino kind of girl. Tea is for the afternoon and wine in the evenings hehehe 🤭

Guess what I did today.
I took a plane ✈️ and flew to hubby in the UK. 🥳🥳🎉
So now we visit friends and I finish some last paperwork and can close the UK chapter.
We drive the 11th July over together. Including importing the car. We take this time a small and short ferry. ⛴️ Will be fun.
And I just booked also a 3 night stay in Chester… before we hop on the ferry. Just the 2 of us.
Why not? Right 🥰

I voted both just in case it took it off. I cannot stomach tea in the morning, it is all about the coffee and cappuccinos too! :) You are totally correct~ Tea in the afternoon and wine for the evening. It only makes sense!

Yes, why not… a little vacation although it has some reasons and we need to do some paperwork. But after that… we both can close the UK chapter… a proper good bye 😉

It will be, as now we stay with family for most of the time… Chester it’s just the two of us 😋
I will Denise I will enjoy it to the fullest. We will go explore some nice places. I will show them later 😎
