Let’s go on the next part of my adventure 😎 and read about this exciting 🤩 update.
Today I want to share with you my move with the large Stena Line #Ferry 🚢 from Liverpool UK 🇬🇧 to my new country of residence…
(Hubby isn’t moving yet, he is already back in the UK and will join me mid July)

We got in the car and started driving towards Liverpool. We needed to go to the Stena Line Ferry terminal to check in and get ourselves plus car on the boat ⛴️
The terminal is located in Birkenhead Liverpool UK 🇬🇧

We arrived there at 19:40h in the evening, it was still light so we could see enough.
Following signs 🪧 I see this building next to us.
Of course I need to capture it 😊

Following the signs for parking of cars and check in… we are not the only ones so early 🤓 ferry will leave at 22:30h but better be on time than late ⏰

So we are standing in line for check in.

We didn’t have to wait to long and reached check in 8 minutes later 😎

We got our ticket and 2 cabin keys 🔑 all set now 😊

We are in the parking area now and wait until we can drive onto the boat 🚢

I stretch my legs and walk to the front fence… it’s still early enough to do so. That is our ferry 🚢 waiting and getting ready.

I can’t cross all the way but across the water we see #Liverpool 🇬🇧 beautiful #skyline.

A little bit more to the left…

You can’t really see on this photo, I will show you closer by later… but there’s a large yellow banner across the waterfront that says: “EUROVISION SONG CONTEST LIVERPOOL 2023” how cool is that 😎 (not that I watch it… but still cool)

The right of us.

Sitting in the car waiting… toem tie toem… it’s 20:28h now 🤓

We are patient 😉 suddenly I see the sunset 🌇 behind me in the mirror. Click 📸

The buildings across the water turning pink… 🌆

A quick capture out of the window behind me.

It is getting dark slowly and the buildings across the water are switching on light in many colours…

Suddenly we see a car and a man opens the gate… we can start driving at 21:09h 😁 how exciting! I never been on such a boat 🚢 let alone… to move countries.

It’s nice 😊

We see the ferry 🚢 getting closer as we drive towards it.

A few more captures out of the window… do you see the banner now from the Eurovision Song Contest?

Stunning colours on the buildings. Lots going on, on that side of the water…

And we are getting ready to drive up the bridge towards the ferry 🚢

We are in a line again, and wait patiently… the excitement increases 🤩🤩 hehehe 🤭

At 21:24h we start driving again and we follow the cars in front of us. 🚗🚗🚙🚙

A little bit further…

Not that far any more…

And we are on the ferry 🚢 we follow the other cars up…. Vroom vroom 🚗🚗

Here we go…

Almost there 🤓

Nope… not yet 😉

We go outside and on the other side inside again…

Vroom vroom a bit more 🚗🚗

Yes, you can imagine, I guess, how exciting this was for me.

After we parked our car and got our suitcase 🧳 out… we entered the ferry in the staircase.

We needed to go up 2 floors… and find our cabin 😊

We walk through the very colourful hallways… 😎

Until we reach the cabin. It has a double bed 🛏️

Sitting area and some tea and coffee facilities for mornings ☕️🫖

A shower and toilet 🚻

Yep that will do just fine…

I am tired but don’t want to go to sleep yet. It’s tooooo early for that. Hahaha 😜
So let’s explore the ferry a bit 🤓 it is 21:33h in the evening now.

The cabin has a door that leads to this deck… it’s the back of the boat 🚢

We see and hear the music and skyline again from Liverpool.

More cars are being parked on the outside part.

When we enter the cabin again we see where we are… deck 9.

We start walking around, looking through the glass towards the bar and restaurant.

We make our way all the way up the the roof/ deck.

We walk around… not many people up here.

The views around are stunning…

Purple light highlight this large building on the side.

The front of the boat 🚢

I see a light show over the city…

We are at the back again close by the cabin and we observe more cars and trucks are being loaded onto the ferry. 🤓

The captain 👨‍✈️ comes on the speakers and says we are having delays and will leave later as there are still trucks coming onto the ferry.

It is now 22:50h and we are still docked.

Not much later… I see the bridge going up… 🤩
Oh it is almost there… we will leave shortly 😎

I see workers walk on the little bridge next to us.

I know what he will be doing 🤓😉

He will loosen the rope…

And off it is… 🎉

We are loose from the ferry dock.

The motors are going and we are moving.

We will be going in a circle to turn around…

Bye bye dry land 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 bye bye UK 🇬🇧 will see you soon again… 😋

We go a bit inland and turn…

So we go out past the skyline and all the pretty lights 😉

Beautiful… I am really taking it all in. What a day 🤩

A ferris wheel 🎡 all lid up.

As we are moving faster now… the boat is vibrating… 😳 and can you guess what happens next?
