Where the Music Plays

This fancy gazebo or "bandstand" sports some cool ornate Queen Anne architecture. The Haywood Bandstand was built in 1914 along the shores of English Bay. It was used for community entertainment at a time when entertainment options were fewer. It doesn't see much use nowadays, surrounded by a cornucopia of other options, but it's a beautiful landmark that reminds us of bygone times.
