Looking west while the sun sets on the Pacific. The light was moody, filtered behind clouds. Centuries ago you may have seen different types of vessels like canoes from the Coast Salish people who inhabited this region before the arrival of Europeans. In addition to being a transportation route, this region was also used for fishing and coastal foraging. The first nations that inhabited this area included the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh.
