Spring is in the air, and some blooms have perked up earlier than usual. Not enough for the plucking, but they do make me smile softly with giddy delight. In anticipation of their coming, I'm posting some photos from last Spring. They're an assortment of flowers of which I know little about. I could've used software to ID the species, but the apps are probably using AI now, and the last thing I want is to bring on the apocalypse just because of some flowers 😉 But if you recognize any of them, then raise your hand and please share with the rest of the class.

Spring is almost here.... what a beautiful season full of colour and life! Beautiful verse-poetry I love it and more the flowers that accompany it!🌺
The passing of the seasons is very marked here in part because of the dramatic changes to the vegetation. Many plants don't handle the cold very well and they die. That might be why we get so excited about the turning of the seasons, particularly Spring, and flowers herald its approach.
And the flowers are beautiful, their colours, aroma... the whole nature.
The yellow ones are narcissus. They often come as a duo: white and yellow 😊 Beautiful images, and you accompanied the spring scenery with a delightful poem by Robert Frost, awww, nice 🥰
Awesome! Wow, that flower has a lot of history and apparently has been associated with rebirth, new beginnings, and hope, in addition to the mythic drama from which it derives its name.
