Asian Market in Moscow
I went grocery shopping at the Asian market in Lublino, Moscow — a place that feels like stepping into the past. It’s an old, slightly worn-down market, but that’s part of its charm. The atmosphere is lively and full of character, with narrow paths lined with small shops and colorful produce. Even though it’s not modern or polished, the market is always crowded, which makes it feel alive and warm despite the chilly Moscow weather.
The variety of vegetables there is impressive. From fresh greens to herbs that remind me of home, I could find everything I needed. The scent of spices filled the air, and I enjoyed browsing through the stalls, chatting with friendly vendors. Most of the sellers are Vietnamese and Tajik, and they’re always kind and helpful, even if we don’t speak the same language perfectly. There's a sort of mutual understanding in places like that — simple and human.
What I love most is how affordable everything is. Compared to regular supermarkets in Moscow, the prices here are much more budget-friendly. I managed to buy a good amount of fresh produce without spending too much. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to come back again, not just for the groceries, but for the experience — the noise, the colors, the smells, and the little moments of connection with people from different parts of the world.
