Leisure is comforting [Eng-Esp]

Best regards friends How are you all doing? My wife Lilia and I (Juvenal) hope you are well and in good health, because when you are in good health you can do your houses with more tranquility and enjoy more with your family and those around you, so let's keep taking care of ourselves and each other.

On this occasion I want to write to you about an interesting topic and I will call it: "Leisure is comforting". When you take time for recreation, the truth is that you feel more cheerful, happy to do some activity that you like in the company of other people or family members who also enjoy those pleasant moments and you want to have a good time sharing in those special moments.

And that is what I experienced this weekend in this case with part of my family, when we shared playing a game of dominoes, it is a game that is played mainly by 4 people, it consists of two people playing as a team and facing the other two people, which is the opposing team where a table is used where the pieces are placed, in this case dominoes is a simple game, but you have to know how to master it and know how to count the chips and play according to your teammate so that we can do better in the game, of course, without cheating.

There we were playing for a while with my daughter and son-in-law and of course my wife Lilia, it turns out that day we were at home, I had gone to rest a little and as from time to time my wife and I had the habit of going out to visit some friends to spend some time playing dominoes, then we had time that we did not go out to visit them because the circumstances changed, then I from the bed I tell my daughter jokingly: "Hey, I don't even play dominoes anymore, nobody invites me to play it" so she and her husband told us, let's play dominoes ourselves, I didn't believe it because they are not interested in this game, but then I realized that they started to set the table and look for the domino pieces, I jumped out of bed and we immediately started to play.

For me, this gesture that my daughter and son-in-law had was very nice, because in our case we are already older adults and when people reach that age they are not taken into account and many times they are not invited to certain recreations, for example meetings or parties and if it is where most of them are young, much less. Therefore, when someone young wants to spend time with us, we appreciate it very much, especially when they listen to what we say and consider important the things we like.

In this case our daughter is looking out for us so that we feel good and enjoy ourselves a little, she is looking out for what we need to somehow try to solve the situation, of course, not only her, all our children are looking out for us, for example if we have the medicines and diets or enough food and in this case, it is a tip for all children should always be aware of their parents or grandparents, make them feel motivated, make them feel good and feel happy.

Maybe they don't like dominoes or any other board game like my daughter, but find a way to make them feel happy, of course, and we the elders, let's also show a lot of affection and love to our children and grandchildren, because in the end this will always be good for the whole family and also for those around them, everything will end in happiness. Un cordial saludos amigos ¿Cómo están todos ustedes? Mi esposa Lilia y yo (Juvenal) esperamos que estén bien y con buena salud, porque cuando se está con buena salud se pueden hacer las casas con más tranquilidad y disfrutar más con la familia y con los que nos rodean, así que sigamos cuidándonos todos, tanto ustedes como nosotros.

En esta ocasión quiero escribirles un tema interesante y lo llamaré: “El esparcimiento reconforta”. Cuando uno saca tiempo para el esparcimiento, la verdad es que se siente más alegre, feliz de realizar alguna actividad que le guste en compañía de otras personas o familiares que también disfrutan de esos momentos tan agradables y quieres pasar un buen rato compartiendo en esos momentos especiales.

Y eso fue lo que viví este fin de semana en este caso con parte de mi familia, cuando compartimos jugando unas partidas de dominó, es un juego que se juega principalmente de 4 personas, consiste en que juegan dos personas como equipo y que se enfrenta a las otras dos personas, que es el equipo contrario en donde se utiliza una mesa en donde se van poniendo las piezas, en este caso el dominó es un juego sencillo, pero hay que saber dominarlo y saber contar las fichas y jugar de acuerdo con tu compañero de equipo para que nos vaya mejor en el juego, claro, sin hacer trampa.

Allí estuvimos un rato jugando con mi hija y mi yerno y por supuesto mi esposa Lilia, resulta que ese día estábamos en casa, yo me había ido a descansar un poco y como de vez en cuando mi esposa y yo teníamos la costumbre de salir a visitar a unos amigos para pasar un rato jugando al dominó, entonces teníamos tiempo que no salíamos a visitarlos debido a que las circunstancias cambiaron, entonces yo desde la cama le digo a mi hija en son de broma: “Oye ya no juego ni dominó, ya nadie me invita a jugarlo” entonces ella con su esposo nos dijeron, vamos a jugar dominó nosotros, yo no lo creía porque en el caso de ellos no les llama la atención este juego, pero entonces me di de cuenta que empezaron a poner la mesa y buscar las piezas del dominó, salte de la cama y enseguida comenzamos a jugar.

Para mí, fue muy bonito este gesto que tuvieron mi hija y mi yerno, ya que en nuestro caso ya somos adultos mayores y cuando las personas llegan a esa edad no se les toma muy en cuenta y muchas veces no se les invita a ciertos esparcimientos, por ejemplo reuniones o fiestas y si es en donde la mayoría son jóvenes mucho menos. Por eso, cuando alguien joven desea pasar tiempo con nosotros, esto lo apreciamos mucho, sobre todo cuando escuchan lo que decimos y consideran importantes las cosas que nos gustan.

En este caso nuestra hija está pendiente de nosotros para que nos sintamos bien y disfrutemos un poco, ella está pendiente en que nos hace falta para de alguna manera tratar de solventar la situación, claro, no solamente ella, todos nuestros hijos están pendiente de nosotros, por ejemplo que si tenemos los medicamentos y las dietas o alimento suficiente y en este caso, es un consejo para todos los hijos siempre debieran estar pendiente de sus padres o abuelos mayores, háganlos sentir motivados, que se sientan bien que se sientan alegres.

Quizás no les guste el dominó o ningún otro juego de mesa como a mi hija, pero busque la manera de que se sientan felices, claro y nosotros los mayores, también mostrémosles mucho afecto y cariño a nuestros hijos y a nuestros nietos que siempre al final esto le va a hacer bien a toda la familia y también a los que los rodean, todo terminará en felicidad.
