Fungifriday || two species of mushrooms that I found in the forest near my house
Good afternoon everyone βπ
This is my contribution to the #fungifriday contest organized by @ewkaw
Today I want to show you two species of mushrooms that I just found in the forest near my house for all mushroom lovers here, although the species of mushrooms that I found today do not have the beauty of the red marasmius mushroom which is already very popular for mushroom lovers, but the species of mushrooms that I found this time also have their own uniqueness and advantages, both their role in the ecosystem and their role for human health, so even though they have an ordinary appearance, we cannot ignore the uniqueness that they have naturally.
Let's get to know the species of mushrooms that I just found in nature around my house
The first thing I found while exploring the forest around my house was a species of mushroom "Trametes hirsuta" growing on the surface of a dead jackfruit tree, this mushroom at first glance looks like a Lingzhi mushroom but in reality has a very striking difference, if the Lingzhi mushroom has a hard texture but the surface of the mushroom is very smooth to the touch, but it is very different from the Trametes hirsuta mushroom species which has a hard texture with a mushroom surface that has lots of fine hairs, this mushroom has a brownish white color with a distinctive aroma, their way of growing is also quite unique where this mushroom grows in small groups along the surface of the wood.
Here are some photos of Trametes hirsuta mushrooms that I have captured and hopefully can help you to recognize Trametes hirsuta mushrooms more closely.
and the second one I found while exploring the forest around my house was the red ear mushroom which is very popular with everyone, this mushroom has its own uniqueness compared to the first mushroom species I found, if the first mushroom I found had a hard texture but this mushroom has a soft texture.
I found these red wood ear mushrooms growing on the surface of wood that had begun to rot and they also grow in small groups, these mushrooms can be consumed and have a distinctive taste, so if there are friends here who like to taste mushroom dishes then wood ear mushrooms are the answer, the chewy texture of the mushroom is perfect for cooking with various recipes, in our city these mushrooms are often cooked by stir-frying, soup and several other traditional recipes.
Here are some photos of red ear mushrooms that I have captured & hopefully they can help you to recognize ear mushrooms better.
Thank you very much for visiting and reading my mushroom blog today, see you in the next mushroom post & have a nice day.
Interesting discovery my friend :)
