When less is more...

The minimalism of that first photograph I took on this outdoors experience, got me thinking, does the life in the big city gives more freedom, or the country-side life?

Well, one side of that is what is more important, the anonymity, or the fame one could have in the big city, and the calmness and the endless feel of the valleys and mountains. Of course, that's a personal matter and a point of view. Some may say, it depends on the age of the person, however, I'd say that depends more on the personal values and the inner emotional balance.

That's speaking from my own experience.

My point of view could be summarized with this phrase: there are less walls more air in the country :) Also, even the few walls found there are felt differently...

You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography. I have always believed that while Color Photography shows the external part of our world, Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything. Please consider the first photo of this post as my entry today to the established #monomad daily contest by the monochromes account and community and supported by the qurator account, thank you everyone for your hard and continuous efforts to build and grow this great community!

When I was at university and studying for exams at my grandparents' house in the countryside, I thought the people there lived in paradise. It was then that I felt this most vividly - I lived in the capital, I wasted my time waiting and traveling by public transport to get to the university... Are people aware that their lives just pass in the squeeze of city buses, while the people in the country go to feed the animals in the barn, pet the cat, breathe fresh air and do some permanent meaningful work, unlike the meaningless wanderings of the city person?

"Black and White Photography shows the soul, the inner hidden side of everything."

I've always felt that, but you've put that feeling into words and proved it with the images. Bravo!
