Travel with LightCaptured - Capileira, Spain in 24 colorful pictures

Greetings, fellow travelers!

Do you recall the charming whitewashed chimneys I shared with you a few days ago?

I don't want to postpone my travel story about this amazingly beautiful and cozy village in Andalusia, Spain, called "Capileira"!

DDH_4513.jpg

TL;DR:

Picturesque Andalusian village where I would love to spend more time walking, taking photos, tasting food and wines and having a peaceful long relaxing vacation!

Indeed! I would also do a myriad of other stuff as well, I even would not mind sharing that cool stone path/patio with that doggy for a few moments :D It loves playing games, so do I! :)

Of course, the most of the time would go into admiring the beautiful views!

DDH_4499.jpg

It is a lively village, local people are warm and welcoming.

When entering the village, the traveler is presented with a few options:

Let me assure you, though, you would like to browse its stone covered narrow streets:

DDH_4503.jpg

and take your eyes up to the balconies, covered with red, always blossoming potted flowers:

DDH_4504.jpg

DDH_4505.jpg

The summer heat there is big but shadows could be found near every street corner...

DDH_4506.jpg

The contrast between the whitewashed houses and the red blossoms of the flowers is so "wow"!

DDH_4507.jpg

I can tell by the design of the central parts of the roads, there are heavy rains.

DDH_4508.jpg

Thankfully, not at the time I was there. Here is a beautiful whitewashed water source, it looks to me so magical!

DDH_4509.jpg

I was deeply tempted to enter that ancient door!

DDH_4510.jpg

Plain roofs, covered in gravel, underlining the beauty of the surrounding mountain:

DDH_4512.jpg

I wonder what would it feel to have a glass of excellent Andalusian red wine in my hand while watching the sunset from that small balcony?

DDH_4514.jpg

Or lighting a candle under the whitewashed icon of Virgin Mary?

DDH_4515.jpg

Or attend to a mass in this small church?

DDH_4517.jpg

The speechless chimneys have witnessed that all!

DDH_4522.jpg

DDH_4520.jpg

I wouldn't miss, if I were you, the breathtaking views from the observation point built by the local county in year 1977:

DDH_4523.jpg

Of course, I went even higher in the mountain to explore more panoramic perspectives of that magical village:

Now let's get back to that welcoming "tableau" of offers ;)

DDH_4501-2.jpg

What can I say? After visiting the museum and the church, I would definitely need to "recharge my batteries" inside all of those bars, bodegas and restaurants :) I would definitely visit that gallery to give some food to my soul and mind as well!

Oh, time, time, I need more time for this miraculous small whitewashed gem, called the village of Capileira!

Thank you, @pinmapple team!
I have a question. When I go to the main page of the Pinmapple.com site and I search for that same village, Capileira in Spain, I don't see the two pins I have put recently.

However, if I go to my own profile map, then I see them. Is that a bug or expected behavior?

Cheers and !PIZZA :) I hope that helps.

Hi there @lightcaptured ! There are over 97k pins on Pinmapple and it would take too long to load, therefore the Pinmapple main page only shows the posts that we have curated. That would probably explain why, if not can you please drop those two post in our Discord server in the Bug-reports channel so we can look at it. Thanks.

Thanks for the prompt response. I was suspecting it's related to the number of pins ;)
Both stories are put into the Honorable mention section, so I suppose they both fall into the "curated" type?
Today I checked again and I see the second, the newer story appears on the main page now.
So it appears that some manual tagging has been skipped and it's not a technical issue?

Cheers and !PIZZA

If it's curated, both Top 3 and HM, it should come up on the front page automatically. Sometimes it takes a while for all of them to load because the curated pins are still nearly 30k !! If it's still not there, can you please drop it in the discord server so we can look at it. Thanks!

Got it, thank you. I'm going to wait for another couple of days and if it's not there by then, I'll have it reported.
Pins are important to me as I sometimes present my stories to potential prospect Hivers :D

Without blowing our own trumpet 😊Pinmapple is a great way to show people your travel content and it makes it so easy for them to find a particular post, not to mention your sense of self satisfaction when you see how much of the world you have travelled

Indeed, I couldn't say it better. Nothing wrong to blow your own trumpet when the product is of great quality ;)
