The Other Side of Meteora - Photography by LightCaptured

I bet all of you have seen the great, beautiful and amazing, I would say, side of Meteora.

It is indeed a divine place in the middle of Greece, touching the skies, with all those monasteries built on top of those cliffs, shaped during millenniums.

However, Photography should be objective, at least from time to time, yeah, it's an art but it could be that, objective, too!

There are time when the most beautiful places are overcrowded and one should wait for hours to visit the holy places. Check out the queue of busses and cars parked on the second photo.

Also, when I saw this cat taking a rest in the shades of car, for a period of about 30 seconds I took those three photos of people passing by. That happened on the main road. Busy, right?

Hm, now I have to admit, there is some charm in that alloy of old antennas and ancient cliffs?

Hello, excellent shots, I liked the contrast between the urban, modern with the ancient and sacred.

A very interesting view of this location! But still I want to go there! 😅 I could go in off season but when is that really! Places like this are probably always busy!

I've been there 3 times, in different seasons, you're right, there is no off season ;)
If you plan for colder periods, especially if there are fogs, your photos will be truly unique ;)
Those big busses with tourist groups usually disappear after 6 PM, so take a tripod and there will be no human presence in your pictures :)
Thank you!

I'd say it's in the middle of Greece, passing mountain roads to go there.
Hotels around and very affordable, so vanlife is an option I'm just not sure how much comfortable, given the location ;)
