My first day getting to know the SNOW

Hello to all Hive readers!
For me it was always a dream to see snow, and my first time was when I was in Chile. There are four seasons there, and for that year I was looking forward to winter, which would be from June to September. But in reality, the best time when the snow is in all its splendor is in August.

For that month, the mountains are full of snow, and all the tourism is open to enjoy a good walk and to be able to go sledding. Obviously as I had a group of friends, and they had other friends, and their friends, other friends, so we managed to make a large group to do the tour, and the best thing is that we filled the bus, so we did not have to go with strangers.

This time it was my first time, unlike the Snowy valley - My accidental adventure, which was my second and I almost died, but that's another story.
This time as it was the first, we were very excited, and as a good foreigner wanting to leave (good) memories of his country where he goes, we took a Venezuelan flag with us to take some pictures with a tricolor that united us and represented us all.

The trip, a bus, about 40 minutes up the mountain, if you go in the middle of winter, you will surely have some problems with the road, unless you carry chains on the tires, so that the vehicle does not slip. Luckily for us, the tour bus had already made this trip many times, so they had a lot of experience driving on that road.

Upon arrival, it is typical to have a coffee or hot chocolate to quench the cold, but the best way to stop that feeling that you are about to suffer hypothermia is to walk or move from one side to another, then you will feel warm. Snow is the same as ice slush. To tell you the truth, I swore it was soft as cotton, but nothing could be further from that. If it is very high, it is difficult to walk because you bury yourself and it is tiring to pull your feet out with every step you take. If it is very steep, it is hard to climb because you are slipping and because of the height, usually if you are not asthmatic, you become one.

Already in the place, called Farellones, the fun began, we got on some round boards that the tour gave us, and from there we only had to get like a big group to throw us all together, some were separated on the way, others ended up sliding alone to the end of the mountain because most of them were falling off the boards.

What I can say is that a good way to make the most of this kind of trips, is to take something to throw you through the snow, whether it is a sled or a board or whatever, because that is precisely where the fun is if you don't have obviously a different planned activity like skiing.

I send a hug to all the readers of this anecdote.
Bye bye
