It hasn't rained in Chile for many years, or at least it hasn't rained so much. As far as I know, it has not rained since 1984 in large quantities of liters, so much so, that in the small town where I am currently living they said that the drought situation was serious and that it was getting worse and worse. A couple of weeks ago, there was an intense rainy weather, it rained for about a week straight, sometimes harder, sometimes less hard. In fact, in 6 years that I have been living in Chile, the rains were very light and were only in winter, for the months of July approximately. Now for this year it rained a lot, so much that unfortunately many people suffered the consequences, floods, landslides, fallen bridges, etc. But in spite of all that, the creeks or streams that had been dry for years with no hope of getting water again, filled up again, like the one near the house where I live. At the beginning of the rain, the water was brown and now that it is no longer raining, it flows very beautifully and transparently. Besides, all the vegetation looks green, it doesn't really look like Chile. So let's hope that the stream will continue and that Olmué will stop being in drought.

En Chile desde hace muchos años no llovía, o por lo menos no llovía tanto. Según conozco, no llovía desde 1984 en grandes cantidades de litros, tanto así, que en el pueblito donde estoy viviendo actualmente decían que era grave la situación de sequía y que cada vez era peor. Hace un par de semanas atrás, hubo un clima de lluvia intenso, que pasó aproximadamente una semana lloviendo seguido, a veces más fuerte, a veces menos fuerte. De hecho, en 6 años que estuve viviendo en Chile, las lluvias eran muy suaves y solo eran en inviernes, para los meses de julio aproximadamente. Ahora para este año llovió muchísimo, tanto que lamentablemente muchas personas sufrieron las consecuencias, inundaciones, derrumbes, puentes caídos, etc. Pero a pesar de todo eso, los esteros o riachuelos que tenían años secos sin esperanza de volver a tener agua, volvieron a llenarse, como el que está cerca de la casa donde vivo. Al principio de la lluvia bajaba el agua color marrón y hoy que ya no llueve, baja muy bonita y transparente. Además, toda la vegetación se ve verde, no parece Chile realmente. Así que esperemos que el riachuelo continúe y que Olmué deje de estar en sequía.
