My Mom lost interest in her garden and this happened; walking around our backyard.
The last time I went home, in 2023 my Mother was busy being a plantita.. She would even buy uniform pots so it would be nice to look at. Visit other neighbors or friends with lots of plants and exchange seedlings or stems. Thus in my recent vacation I was surprised to see her plants struggling to live on their own 🤣.

The orchids look dying and on the other side ferns grow which I am not sure if still part of her garden or just weeds.
I was busy accompanying Kyle (my nephew) at school, whole day and no more time Bla Bla bla.
However, nature makes wonder. Even not well taken care of, I was awed upon seeing some are still growing healthy.
For today's entry at #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoo-djay let me walk through my Mom's garden.
Outgrown its pot and even weeds crawling against the odds, still leaves are growing.

Found these two with flowers blooming and more;

Not familiar with the white one but even the weeds are blooming 😆.

Chilling while crawling at the Chico tree vines, huge and healthy flowers about to blossom.
At the right I wanted to cut down as the twigs reached our doorstep but Mother opposed. So many reasons she stated that my brother marketed it.
Before they were placed on the top of wood but worned out as the days went by. It was my Father who helped her arrange the plants, put a covered net. Now, seeing these makes me sad, not because of the plants but the truth my parents are really getting old. Their bodies are starting to get fragile 😫.
I was even planning to get rid of the dry leaves but my vacation ended in just a blink.

Coconut seedlings anyone?
Back then, when the leaves just sprouted I would secretly cut them open. I love to eat the coconut sprout inside. Yes, I need to hide it because if Grandma would discover it means I'm dead 🤣.
This is what I mean of Coconut Sprouts.
One thing that caught my attention are butterflies. There are still several flying around in a group.
Too bad I don't have a high end camera so this is only what I captured. My son loves chasing them. It was his first time seeing.

The avocado tree that my sister @Asiaymalay mentioned. It's been there since we were kids and it helped us a lot. The fruit it bears are really delicious and my mother would sell it so we would have food on our table and other needs. We can't even have a slice.
Thus now, it grows too tall and the fruits were only few. The one I am holding fell down since it was ripe. I was planning to pay for someone to do the harvesting but then it was no longer practical and dangerous.
So, all throughout my stay, I was only waiting for a fruit to fall on the ground .🤣

Sending you an Ecency vote! 👍😊✨
Thank you
Mother now applies the law of nature in her plants. Live or die😆. She's too busy now in other things.
Haha yeah, the strong lives and the weak dies

Survival of the fittest is nature's way and now your mum's hehe! That was a beautiful butterfly shot!! Or was it from someone else, at least you did get an Avocado though!
I was the one who took the photo of butterfly.
Oh, yeah I had several 😆, would check every morning on the ground
It is great, the one after not so, but the orange one is a corker!
Hahah because the second one keeps on moving 🤣
Maybe it's time for you to revive it? I don't know why mothers are like that, I mean with garden they have an on and off relationship. And you have such a huge garden!
Is you Mom like that too? , 😂
I was only there for vacation so I can't save some of the plants.
Father had a land wide enough for us. We can have a garden as vast as we want 🤣

Yeah, my mom definitely had her phase like that. She event bought a new plant but abandoned it already hahahaha. You could take some of the plants with you and actually save them 😃
