Guimaras man made mahogany forest.
Weeks ago, my sister @asiaymalay shared about her quick vacation at home. Where she posted a photo of mahogany forest and the one I will be sharing for this week #Wednesdaywalk hosted by @tattoojay.
This is while we were travelling going to town and told her to snap a photo of the road since she is seated at the front seat. There are no classes yet, the road is clear and from two lanes, now it has widened to four. Even if there would be more vehicles, still no traffic.
On our way, I happened to glance at the window and saw several cars parked near my previous school (where I study in college.) Being nosy, and since brother in-law is not driving fast, saw the signage of Mahogany forest. I was like, it's just here?
Some of my school mates before are working in the province tourism department, as tour guides and often see this on their posts with the guest.
Can we drop by here later? I asked Asia.
This was the last June, the rainy season here in my country and the trees and grasses were well watered. Resulting in green surroundings.
I could no longer recall what we did 🤣 but some photos remind me.
Passed by the provincial capitol and I will be sharing about it next time as it was also one of the tourist destinations now.

See the glimpse of this from the Asia blog?
Turns out I've seen this countless times during my college days and none was interested in taking photos here. Or maybe, back then only few had cell phones with cameras as it was the era of digicam. Not everyone could afford it.
It was not stated who is the owner but good news, there no entrance fee. You can take as many photos as you want.
Best view is here, stand, strike a post, candid shot alone or with companions.

Could be, have a walk?

Then, sit down here and take a photo with the tall trees behind as a background.

I'm not that awed as someone who grew up surrounded by trees and besides we had a lot of mahogany at home. Not that vast as this though.

Somewhere at home and several mahogany's are still young.
After a quick photo, we decided to go home.

And this is the end see you in the next blog.
