A few weeks ago, I posted on Facebook that I was missing the beach. One of my friends saw it and invited me to her husband’s place in Lobo, located in Batangas City, Laguna, Philippines.
If you’re a Filipino or a foreigner planning to visit Lobo, here’s a simple guide for commuters based on our trip.
We came from Los Baños and first traveled to SM City Calamba. From there, we took a bus going to SM City Lipa, and the fare was ₱90.00 per person.
We arrived at SM Lipa in about 33–45 minutes (without traffic). After that, we rode another bus going to Lobo. The travel time was much shorter because of the new route— instead of 3 hours, we reached Lobo in just 1 hour and 30 minutes. The fare was ₱160.00 per person.
Once you arrive in Lobo, you can simply ask the local residents where to ride going to your chosen beach or destination.
The people are friendly and willing to help. It may take a few rides, but the journey is worth it once you see the beautiful beaches and experience the peaceful province vibe.
It is truly one of the most beautiful places to explore — rich in nature, peaceful surroundings, and stunning sea waters that instantly refresh the soul. The calming sound of the waves and the breathtaking coastal views made the trip unforgettable.
We visited a beach with free entrance called Managuitsit. As you can see in the picture, the water is clean and crystal clear, and it’s refreshingly cold. The view is truly breathtaking—with soft white sand and stones in different shapes and colors scattered along the shore. The peaceful atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy nature.
Angela’s husband’s house is far from the city, and it’s difficult to get there without a vehicle. Thankfully, her husband arranged a ride for us. We were picked up by a jeepney, although I forgot to take a picture. The ride took about 45 minutes. I truly enjoyed the trip—I was amazed by the tall trees and the fresh air along the way. We arrived safely and felt grateful for such a wonderful travel experience.
We were fed delicious food by Elmer's parents who were very accommodating. We have champorado for snack. It is made with sticky rice, cocoa powder, and sugar.
Tonight, we're enjoying tender chicken served with flavorful soup and fresh vegetables.

Overall, it was such a wonderful and memorable trip. If you’re planning to visit Lobo, I definitely recommend checking out Managuitsit. There are also many beach resorts in the area, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from depending on your budget and preference.
Stay tuned for the latest updates.
