Wednesday Walk - old neighborhood

I took these pictures in early February 2023. It had snowed the day before. There was a blackout in the city, and the electric transport was not working that day. My husband and I were supposed to visit a relative in another part of town. We were walking. I brought my camera with me to take pictures along the way.
It's a local neighborhood which is colorful, though not well-maintained. It has a history and an atmosphere.
The neighborhood was formed in the 1880s-1910s. The area is built mainly with one-story buildings.
Buildings are mainly in neoclassic style, but there are also buildings with eclectic and art nouveau decor.
A peculiarity of many residential buildings are low windows.
The façade of a house built in 1888.
However, many residents think that newer buildings that are planned to be erected here spoil the neighborhood.
So part of the old buildings will disappear sooner or later.
