The Salt Cathedral in Zipaquirá, Colombia, is an impressive place that combines spirituality with the natural beauty of the land. My visit to this architectural wonder was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I entered through its doors, I was amazed by the majesty of the construction carved in the depths of a salt mine. The sensation of being surrounded by the walls of salt, illuminated in an artistic way, created a unique atmosphere with its impressive . altars and sculptures, its large cross, evoked a deep sense of reverence. The guided tour provided me with information about the history and religious significance of the cathedral, which further enriched my experience.
A LITTLE OF YOU HISTORY…
The history of the cathedral begins in 1930, when miners built an improvised chapel in one of the tunnels to pray, but it was closed in 1992 because it was considered unsafe. So in 1995 a new church was dedicated.
The tour lasted between 35 minutes and 1 hour. It was simply beautiful

Mi visita a esta maravilla arquitectónica fue una experiencia inolvidable. Desde el momento en que entre por sus puertas, quedasombrada por la majestuosidad de la construcción tallada en las profundidades de una mina de sal, La sensación de estar rodeado por las paredes de sal, iluminadas de manera artística, creaba una atmósfera única con sus impresionantes altares y esculturas tallada en sal, su gran cruz, evocaba una profunda sensación de reverencia. UN POCO DE SU HISTORIA…
La historia de la catedral comienza en 1930, cuando los mineros construyeron una capilla improvisada en uno de los túneles para poder orar, pero se cerró en 1992 porqué se consideraba poco segura. Así que en 1995 se inauguró una nueva iglesia.
El recorrido duro entre 35 minutos y 1 hora. Fue simplemente Hermoso
