Celebrating #BitcoinPizzaday - Pizza Tutorial
I couldn't let #bitcoinpizzaday go by without celebrating at home! And even though I'm still on medical rest and my husband had to travel for his work, I set out to make just a little bit in a very particular appliance: a Tosty Arepa as I didn't want to use the oven.
Join me to make a pizza in a quick and uncomplicated way, full of flavours and celebration!
Ingredients for the dough:
- 1 cup wheat flour
- One teaspoon dry yeast
- Two tablespoons oil
- 1/3 cup water
- One tablespoon of sugar
- Pinch of salt.
Preparation of the dough:
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, mix very well and when it comes away from the edges of the bowl, transfer to the table and knead for five more minutes. Leave to rest in a closed, warm container to allow the yeast to activate.
Ingredients for the sauce:
- One large, bright red pear tomato
- Two cloves of garlic
- A small piece of red chili pepper
- 1/4 small onion
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Three tablespoons of oil
Preparation of the sauce
Put the oil in a frying pan and let it heat up a little; chop all the tomatoes in big pieces, put them in the pan with the hot oil and immediately add salt, so that they release all their juices.
When everything has a golden colour, add the sugar to remove the acidity that the tomatoes may have, remove from the heat and blend very well; return the mixture to the heat until it changes to a reddish colour. Set aside until ready to assemble.
Important Note
Be sure to add salt just as the vegetables are placed in the pan, and do not add more, as the flavours intensify during the second cooking and may become too salty.
Add-ins (to personal taste)
- Chicken ham
- Mozzarella cheese
- Guiana cheese
- Onion
- Paprika
- Basil
Habemus Pizza
With the help of a rolling pin, spread a little bit of the dough that we have at rest, when it reaches the approximate size of the Tosty Arepa mould (previously warm), we cover it as best we can, add the sauce, the complements (without the basil, because it wilts and burns), we close our device and leave it to act for about 8 minutes.
The result: a crispy, golden brown, appetizing and very delicious pizza. With this amount of ingredients, I had eight mini pizzas, which I was happy to celebrate #BitcoinPizzaDay.
I hope you liked this simple way of making pizza, so please let me know in the comments if it was helpful!

Complementos (a gusto personal)
- Jamón de pollo
- Queso mozzarella
- Queso guayanés
- Cebolla
- Pimentón
- Albahaca
Habemus Pizza
