English version

Caracas, the Capital of our beautiful Venezuela, is a city of contrasts, we can find the art of the past and present, in its multiple manifestations: murals with images that evoke sensations and feelings by the realism that reflects the look, structures of glass, concrete and iron that end up being architectural works, which at the time have been internationally renowned.

In the first and last image, we can see silent faces, with expressive eyes full of pain and uncertainty, primary colours mute their lips; every time I pass by this mural, I am stunned by its realism.

In the second photograph, we can see the "Teresa Carreño" Theatre, the second icon of culture in Latin America, inaugurated in 1983, on whose stages concerts and shows by renowned orchestras and artists have been presented in its two main halls: "Ríos Reyna" and "José Félix Rivas".

The third photograph corresponds to the West Tower of Parque Central, the iconic skyscraper of Caracas: a complex of multiple spaces, where one can find a housing complex, cultural spaces and businesses; its heyday dates from its inauguration in 1973 until 2003 (approximately), currently one can observe the passage of time and the deterioration of many of its spaces.

It is the turn of the Mural of the famous Master: Mateo Manaure, in the CANTV Tower, originally made in 1970 with conventional paints and for its restoration, it was decided to use stoneware tiles in 2007, in order to guarantee the permanence in time of the work.

Our fifth photograph corresponds to an urban residence built by the Misión Vivienda Venezuela, mainly to provide housing for low-income sectors of Caracas that were at risk after the Vargas tragedy in 1999.

Thank you for joining me on this tour of my beautiful Caracas, I hope you enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing your impressions in the comments. Take care, a big hug to all of you.
