Wednesday Walk: "Another trip to Cole Park"!

Hello Friends, and thank you for your visit!

It is #wednesdaywalk #23 of 2026, and the rain slowed down to "intermittent"! And so, I decided to go to Cole Park (downtown Corpus Christi) and walk around and see how things are after the Storms!

But first as always I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community -
"Thank You"!

So, from the parking area I was at this is one of the first signs you'll see. It's a general map of the Park - along with some "do's and don't",

And this is a look at the Pier from the side. They say the Fishing Pier by my house is almost a 1/4 mile - 402.336 meters, so this is about a 1/3 mile - 536.448 meters,

This is a look straight down the Pier,

After a little thought, I decided to walk on out to the end - something I most of the time do not do!
On the way out there I passed this! Very interesting and I did not know the City did this! This is a "fishing string" recycling bin - and there is a few,

At this point I was getting close to the end. I passed many of these on the way out to the end. They are "stainless steel " fish cleaning stands with running water (and they say we have a drought....),

This is a look from close to the end back at the Shoreline,

This is a corner of the end - there were people out there - so I didn't want to disturb them,

And from out there I caught a Tanker heading into Corpus Christi Harbor,

This is a view across to the downtown area,

And this is the Church area, there are a few older Churches there,

This is looking North across the Harbor,

And, this is back towards the Park and the Holiday Inn,

This is a look back at the children's playground,

And down the right side of the Pier,

And this is a final look across the water at the Parking area,

And although I did get some other photos while out there - I don't want to get "off-topic", and you will see them in the upcoming days!
And so that was my #wednesdaywalk this week!
