Wednesday Walk 10.22.25, "A trip to the Northside"

Hello Friends, and Welcome Back, and thank you for your visit!

Here we are at #wednesdaywalk #41 of 2025! First, I want to thank @tattoodjay for this community!

So for this week I had the urge to do something different! My Black bike has bearing issues, and it was a little windy for the Green one so I decided to take the truck and go someplace I had not been in awhile - "The North Side"!
Here is a Sandbar that is always there, some people fish from here - you can see the pickup truck out there,

And this is the tip, yes we have to have those bars so people don't sink their trucks,

This is a look up the Shoreline at the bridge that connects us to Corpus Christi - South,

This is a look across the Channel from here at Texas A&M University. When they say they are the "University on a Island" they are not joking,

And this is the actual beach up here - don't let me kid you, we're only 3 miles / 4.82 kilometers from my house!

And a Heron that showed up all of a sudden,

This is the Shoreline starting to head back towards my house. As you can see the houses are pretty packed!

And a little look at the road off the turnaround that leads down here, going in and out,

And.... While I was there I did see some Wildflowers as well!
I first saw these "Sea purslane". Here is a whole plant,

And this is a double flower,

I also found these Spiny Snow thistle growing ,

These two photos I like the best,

And last but not least - "Sunflowers"!
I caught both of these on the way back out,

Still blooming in October!
And that was it for this weeks #wednesdaywalk it was fun to get out to the Northside for a change and take some photos to share with you today!
