Wednesday Walk 01.21.26, A Very Gray Day!

Hello Friends, and Welcome Back, and thank you for your visit!

And here we are at #wednesdaywalk #3 of 2026! Thankfully soon there will be better weather!

So for this weeks #wednesdaywalk I took the photos yesterday. Today was supposed to rain, luckily it only sprinkled a few minutes!
But that's another topic - on to the day yesterday, which was.not too bad, though very "gray"!

The day started with this Sunrise I caught through the trees,

And after awhile I made it out to the Park. This is a look South down the Shoreline,

And across the Channel,

Even after Hurricanes I have not seen the tide this low, and absolutely not this long!

Walking along I found some "Brazilian pepper" (? - Goggle) growing.
This is a stalk with a few bunches,

And a single I found,

I also found close to the last of the Curlycup gumweed also blooming. Almost all of the rest have gone to seed,

I also had a Seagull fly overhead,

Walking a little further I saw that the Breeding Pond was dryer than I ever saw. It now looks like a puddle!

And out in the Channel I am seeing things surface I never saw out there before,

So at this point I said I need to see something. I rode about a mile down to the lower Breeding Pond to see what it looked like,

It's a very small puddle - almost "non-existent"! This is the most unbelievable of all! There is almost nothing left! At this point even I am hoping for rain - and that's not normal!

And from there I decided to end the day and return home from my journey.
And that was it for this week's #wednesdaywalk!
