¡Hola, gente bonita! Bienvenidos a mi mundo.

¿Qué tal? Yo soy Valeria Laya, una veinteañera nacida el 23 de enero en el 2002, signo acuario, admiradora hasta la muerte de Taylor Swift y Voltaire, lectora ocasional, feminista, libre pensadora, amante de la música, adoro a los animales (excepto sapos y cucarachas, no hay manera en que pueda tolerar cercanía a esos animales).

Adentrándonos un poco más en mí vida, soy de Venezuela, vivo en Maturín, estado Monagas. Junto a mi madre que también está en esta comunidad (@ennisbermudez) y mis gatos, varios gatos, durante toda mi vida he tenido animales, es como tener un compañero leal siempre a tu lado, y aunque no tengamos lenguajes iguales (Sin embargo, a mi parecer estos felinos han superado a la naturaleza, logran comunicarse sin decir una palabra), hay algo hermoso en poder sentir y transmitir amor por un ser vivo y que este te corresponda igual.

Mis hijos no humanos se llaman:

Joey (Nombre inspirado en un personaje de Friends).

Gala (Nombre inspirado en un personaje muy elegante de una novela).

Y recientemente Kitty; una nueva inquilina no esperada que encontró mi hogar y no quiso irse ¿la inspiración de su nombre? Fácil, gata en ingles. Me gusta colocarle nombres a mis mascotas con un significado que los represente, las personas no lo creen, pero mis mascotas han desarrollado una personalidad. Pero con Kitty me fui por lo fácil en esta ocasión. Aunque si tuviera que describirla sería algo salvaje, independiente y atrevida.

Sin embargo, definirme va mucho más allá de lo que ya he dicho, soy solitaria (parecerá deprimente, lo sé, pero hay una paz sin igual que encuentro conmigo misma), tranquila, leal, directa, delicada, terca, reservada, intolerante de las injusticas y una bilingüe promedio que aprendió lo que sabe pasando horas viendo mas capítulos de Friends que en cualquier otro libro de ingles. Paso mucho tiempo en mi cabeza, soy ese tipo de persona que llaman ‘’soñadores despiertos’’.

Me gusta escuchar canciones de Taylor Swift, como ya dije o algunos de los clásicos del pop como The Beatles, Michael Jackson y ABBA. También me gusta la música instrumental para calmarme, recrear alguna receta de comida italiana fácil que veo en Tik Tok, leer una novela juvenil, ver videos de mejoramiento personal, leer sobre hechos históricos, ver series o películas que golpeen mi realidad y cambien mi forma de ver la vida, entre otras cosas. Soy fiel creyente que cada día hay que trabajar en nosotros mismos para ser mejores, así como también me gusta entender porque estamos en el mundo en el que vivimos hoy en día y como fue cada transición.

En fin, con la decisión de probar algo nuevo, estoy embarcándome en este nuevo viaje que se llama comunidad de HIVE, mis amigos (@nathyortiz y @atilioalcala), fueron los que me hablaron de esta página, al escuchar sobre esta comunidad ¿Cómo no podría intentarlo? Tengo las herramientas necesarias y la motivación. También me acompaña mi mejor amiga; @rosylisboa, estoy segura que ella tendrá cosas interesantes por mostrar.

Escribir es un reto para mí, nunca he tenido una preparación hacia el arte de la escritura, así que si meto la pata, sean pacientes, es mi primer intento. Pero mentiría si digo que no hay un pequeño interés en mí hacia esto, es desconocido pero lo nuevo siempre es interesante. Soy un poco tímida y para mi es intimidante hablar sobre mi o mi vida, sin embargo es emocionante poder hacerlo de esta forma.

Un pequeño paso nunca debe ser infravalorado, es lo que se necesita para emprender un viaje.

Cuando dije que iban a entrar en mi mundo, lo dije en serio. Tengo muchas ideas sobre que escribir: reflexiones, mí día a día, experiencias, me gustaría escribir mucho sobre la música, libros, series de televisión o películas y él porque me gustan, maquillaje, recetas de comida… Hay otros temas de los que me gustaría escribir, que afectan a la sociedad hoy en día, que desde mi perspectiva son tan importantes y han sido olvidados y silenciados, pero que necesitan que ser traídos de vuelta y hablados. Todo aquí va a estar desde un punto de vista diferente, tengan la mente abierta ;).

¿How are you? I'm Valeria Laya, a twenty-something born on January 23, 2002, Aquarius sign, admirer to death of Taylor Swift and Voltaire, occasional reader, feminist, free thinker, music lover, I love animals (except toads and cockroaches, there's no way I can tolerate closeness to those animals).

Going a little deeper into my life, I am from Venezuela, I live in Maturin city, Monagas state. Along with my mother who is also in this community (@ennisbermudez) and my cats, several cats, throughout my life I have had animals, it is like having a loyal companion always by your side, and although we do not have equal languages (However, in my opinion, these felines have surpassed nature, they manage to communicate without saying a word), there is something beautiful in being able to feel and transmit the love for a living being and that this corresponds to you the same.

My non-human children are called:

Joey (Name inspired by a character from Friends).

Gala (Name inspired by a very elegant character from a novel).

And recently Kitty; an unexpected new tenant found my home and didn't want to leave. The inspiration for her name? Easy, cat in English. I like to name my pets with a meaning that represents them, people don't believe it, but my pets have developed a personality. But with Kitty, I went for the easy way this time. Although if I had to describe her it would be wild, independent, and sassy.

However, defining myself goes far beyond what I've already said, I'm a loner (it may sound depressing, I know, but there's an unparalleled peace I find with myself), quiet, loyal, direct, delicate, stubborn, reserved, intolerant of injustice and an average bilingual who learned what she knows by spending hours watching more episodes of Friends than any other English book. I spend a lot of time in my head, I'm the kind of person they call a ''daydreamer''.

I like to listen to Taylor Swift songs, as I said, or some of the pop classics like The Beatles, Michael Jackson, and ABBA, I also like instrumental music to calm me down, recreate some easy Italian food recipes I see on Tik Tok, read a young novel, watch videos of personal improvement, read about historical facts, watch series or movies that hit my reality and change the way I see life, among other things. I am a faithful believer that every day we have to work on ourselves to be better, as well as I like to understand why we are in the world we live in today and how each transition was.

Anyway, with the decision to try something new, I am embarking on this new journey called the HIVE community, my friends (@nathyortiz and @atilioalcala) were the ones who told me about this page, hearing about this community how could I not try it? I have the necessary tools and motivation. I also have my best friend @rosylisboa with me, I'm sure they will have interesting things to show.

Writing is a challenge for me, I've never had preparation for the art of writing, so if I mess up, be patient, it's my first attempt. But I would be lying if I say that there is not a little interest in me this, it is unknown but new is always interesting. I'm a little shy and for me, it's intimidating to talk about myself or my life, however, it's exciting to be able to do it this way.

A small step should never be underestimated, it's what it takes to embark on a journey.

When I said you were coming into my world, I meant it. I have many ideas to write about: reflections, my day-to-day life, experiences, I would like to write a lot about music, books, TV series or movies and why I like them, makeup, food recipes... There are other topics that I would like to write about, that affect society today, that from my perspective are so important and have been forgotten and silenced, but need to be brought back and talked about. Everything here is going to be from a different point of view, keep an open mind ;).
