The famous musician, a native of that region of the island, legitimizes with his music the attractions of the southern city. The people of Cienfuegos, in gratitude, have eternalized his elegant figure walking along the Prado, which boasts the merit of being the largest in the country.

Cienfuegos welcomes us with the air of a provincial city, peaceful, with clean streets and the smell of the sea. The visitor cannot miss the appointment with its Martí Park, around which the most emblematic buildings of the city are located. The concern for preserving them in good condition is striking, making them a strong tourist attraction.

Some time has passed since this visit to Cienfuegos. Its Frenchified air, combined with the color of the Caribbean, give it a unique and distinctive touch. One afternoon was not enough to visit all its emblematic sites, because we spent the morning at Rancho Luna beach, near the city. ¡Saludos Hivers, vámonos de viaje!

Reza el refranero popular que: “Cuba es La Habana y lo demás es paisaje” y aunque lleva algo de razón, fuera de la capital, también podemos encontrar lugares capaces de asombrarnos. Hoy quiero que me acompañen a una de esas ciudades cubanas que por su belleza se ha ganado el calificativo de la Perla del sur.

Concuerdo con Benny Moré, cuando con su voz única, nos canta que Cienfuegos es la ciudad que más me gusta a mí. El ilustre músico, oriundo de esa región de la isla, legítima con su música los atractivos de la urbe sureña. Los cienfuegueros, en agradecimiento, han eternizado su elegante figura caminando por el Prado, paseo que ostenta el mérito de ser el más extenso del país.

Cienfuegos nos recibe con su aire de ciudad provinciana, apacible, de calles limpias y olor a mar. El visitante no puede faltar a la cita con su Parque Martí, alrededor del cual se encuentran los edificios más emblemáticos de la ciudad. Llama la atención la preocupación por conservarlos en buen estado, convirtiéndose en un fuerte atractivo turístico.

Ha pasado algún tiempo de esta visita a Cienfuegos. Su aire afrancesado, combinado con el color del Caribe, le otorga un toque único y distintivo. Una tarde no fue suficiente para recorrer todos sus sitios emblemáticos, pues la mañana la pasamos en la playa de Rancho Luna, cercana a la ciudad. Estás fotos que conservo y hoy comparto con ustedes, son un incentivo para el regreso y una invitación para los que aún no la conocen.
