Saludos a toda la comunidad de Aliento! Se siente bien volver por aquí. Hoy vengo a hablarles acerca de cómo conocí el lugar donde actualmente paso la mayor parte de mis días, además contarles cómo es, el sitio donde muchos margariteños vamos, e incluso personas de otros estados que vienen a vivir a la Isla exclusivamente a obtener todos los recursos necesarios para profundizar aún más nuestros conocimientos y poder dedicarnos a lo que más nos apasione, en mi caso se trata de los Idiomas. Este lugar es la Universidad de Margarita.

Siempre había escuchado hablar acerca de este campus universitario ya que es, aun siendo privado, de los más solicitados por los futuros profesionales, esto por su calidad y oferta académica que cuenta con algunas carreras que no están en ninguna otra universidad de la Isla, incluso una de mis hermanas estudió allí durante un tiempo, y aun así yo no tenía ni idea de cómo lucía esta universidad.

No fue sino hasta el año pasado que tuve la oportunidad de dar un primer vistazo a sus instalaciones, ya que una amiga mía iba a inscribirse y me pidió que la acompañara a hacer el proceso. Y aunque ese día no la recorrí completa, solamente las áreas donde se realizan los procesos de inscripción, la universidad me dio una muy buena impresión, tiene espacios bonitos donde se es agradable estar.

Un tiempo después, ya cuando tuve la oportunidad de inscribirme allí este año, uno de mis mejores amigos quien ya tiene un tiempo estudiando allí, me acompañó y me ayudó a caminar por la universidad sin perderme, ya que sí, lo único negativo que le encuentro es que es algo laberíntica y sino la conoces bien eres propenso a perderte. De igual manera, ese día pude ver bastante más de lo que había visto antes, y mi opinión de sus espacios solo mejoró.

La universidad tiene un diseño “colonial”, sus salones y edificios recuerdan bastante a casas con ese estilo, todos con aire acondicionado lo que hace que tomar las clases allí sea mucho más cómodo ya que el calor puede fastidiar y desconcentrar, y cuentan con mesas para dos personas las cuales facilitan bastante la interacción cuando llegas a tus primeras clases y no conoces aún a nadie.

Cuenta además con una biblioteca llena de libros que sirven de apoyo al aprendizaje para cualquiera de las carreras que oferta la universidad, y para llevarlos a casa solo se necesita un carnet. Dentro hay espacios cómodos, tranquilos y silenciosos donde mucha gente va para terminar sus tareas pendientes, hacer investigaciones o simplemente a pasar el rato.

Una de las áreas que más llamaban mi atención antes de entrar a la universidad es el Centro de Idiomas, un espacio especializado para el aprendizaje de los idiomas que además de tener su propia biblioteca, tiene juegos de mesa con los cuales se puede practicar un idioma de manera más dinámica. Aunque de este espacio no tengo fotos, tengo una foto que me tomaron allí junto a figuras de personalidades internacionales importantes, la cual les dejo acá.

Por supuesto, también están las áreas verdes que es donde los estudiantes pasamos el tiempo mientras no estamos en clase, donde hay mesas, grama y árboles lo cual da un ambiente más natural y bastante agradable a la vista porque todo está muy bien cuidado. Además en estas áreas y por toda la universidad hay altavoces por los que se transmite la “Radio Unimar”, la cual tiene programas educativos y permite que los estudiantes “pidan” canciones de su gusto para ser reproducidas.

En el campus también hay un “Aula Abierta”, en la cual se dan algunas clases al aire libre que así lo requieran, y es donde se hacen eventos y ferias de cualquier tipo a las que todos pueden asistir, de hecho el Viernes pasado hubo una “Feria de las Técnicas de Estudio”, en la cual dos secciones de estudiantes que cursan esa asignatura debían montar stands con un paraban, folletos e infografías con información de la técnica de estudio que les haya sido asignada, y además comidas para repartir.

Llevo poco tiempo en esta universidad pero realmente puedo decir que me gusta pasar tiempo allí, además de la educación propiamente, brinda espacios con recursos y lugares donde es agradable hacer vida, y por ello sé que disfrutaré mucho el trayecto estudiando mi carrera.

Welcome to the "Universidad de Margarita"!

Greetings to all the Aliento community! It feels good to come back over here. Today I come to talk to you about how I knew the place where I currently pass the biggest part of my days, besides telling you how it is, the site where a lot of Margariteños go, and even people from other states that come exclusively to get the necessary resources to get deeper our knowledges and be able to dedicate in what we’re more passionated about, In my case are the languages. This place is the Universidad de Margarita.

I had always heard about this university campus, because it is, even being private, one of the most requested by the future professionals, this is because of its quality and academic offer that have some careers that aren’t in any other university in the Island, even one of my sisters studied right there by a period, and I still didn’t have a single clue of how it look.

It was not until the last year when I got the opportunity of taking a first look to the facilities, because of a friend of mine was going to enroll and asked me to accompany her in the process. Although I didn’t completely tour it, only the areas where the enrolling process was executed, the university gave me a very good impression, it has pretty spaces where it is nice to be.

A time later, when I had the opportunity of enrolling this year, one of my best friends who already got a time studying there, accompanied and helped me to tour it without getting lost, cause yes, the only negative thing that I find is that is a bit labyrinthine and if you don’t know it well you can get lost. Anyways, that day I could see a lot more than what I had seen before, and my opinion about its spaces just got better.

The University has a “colonial” design, its classrooms and edifices remind a lot to houses with that style, all of them with air conditioned that make the taking classes pretty much comfortable because the hot can be annoying and deconcentrated, and they have tables for two persons, which make the interaction pretty easier when you just get your first classes and you still don’t know nobody.

Besides it has a library full of books useful to support the learning for any of the careers that the university offers, and to bring them home you just need a carnet. Inside there are comfortable, quiet and silent spaces, where many people go to finish their pending tasks, do researches or just hanging out.

One of the areas that called my attention the most before enrolling in the university is the Languages Center, a specialized space that besides of having its own library, has board games with which you can practice a language more dynamically. I don’t have photos of this space though, I have a photo taken of me there next to figures of important international personalities, which I leave you here.

Of course there are the green areas too, where the students pass the time while we are not in classes, there are tables, grass and trees what gives a more natural and pretty nice environment to the view because everything it is very well cared. Besides in this areas and all over the university there are speakers by which it is transmitted the “Radio Unimar”, which has educative programs and allow to the students to “ask” songs they like to be reproduced.

At the campus there is also an “Opened Classroom”, in which are given some classes outdoor if it is required, and it is where any type of events and fairs are made and anybody can assist, in fact the last Friday there was a “Study Techniques Fair” where the students of 2 sections of that course should get stands with a billboard, brochures and infographics with information about the study technique that has been assigned to them, and also food to share.

I have a short time in this university but I can really say that I like to pass time there, in addition to education itself, it provides spaces with resources and nice places to spend time, that’s why I know that I’ll enjoy a lot my path through my career.
